Description

To solve this, the motors need to be in the superstructure, but this means the drive system has to pass through the turntable. The motors however seem to be no longer able to fully move the excavator and clipping of wheels can be heard a lot. In the past, in new condition, the parts have sold for TWD 20,426 (87% of items) and for TWD 11,212 in used condition (91% of items). Like the turntable, since the whole digging arm rotates upward, the torque for the linear actuators has to be passed through this axis of rotation.

Before we do the gearbox, we'll install the battery box and the rear cosmetic assembly which also serves to help hold everything together. The next assembly is a cap for the gearbox which contains some of the gears which will be used to drive the digging arm. In case your collection consist of more than 42006 set you can look into "bricklinking" 8043 set for yourself. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.

During its release, the set was reported to lack a strong enough digging arm to lift the boom of the excavator. The second image shows the set of tan double bevel gears in parallel which will be used on the parallel linear actuators which raise the boom. Or rather wait until the new kind of motors are available for customizations and later just upgrade? If the motors for driving the tracks were in the base, then the wires would have to go through the turntable up to the battery box. I must admit that when I first saw images of the excavator, I had many doubts about how much functionality would actually be packed into the model.

The back shows pictures of the alternate model, the instructions for which must be downloaded and are not available yet. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. But in the end, the flagships seem to combine these main features, (above) and could therefore encompass many different ideas. The differences for the second version are indicated in this inventory in the Alternate Items section with Match ID 99.
