As with Sol, I really appreciated that there was another appearance of the recurrent f/f couple in these illustrations, and this time it's a portrayal of a sex scene in which both are clearly having fun. Which is a lot! Finding Italian books with queer content is still not easy.

As usual, not all drawings spoke to me personally - it's a lot like a poetry collection in that - but this time I also felt like it was less cohesive in terms of tone, and I could have done without the drawing of a woman in fake native American clothes. (We're not really having these discussions in Italy, but we should.) Lo stile dei disegni è accattivante. Il primo volume è tutto sui toni del seppia, scelta che è risultata un po' pesante per i miei poveri occhi miopi, invece nel secondo volume i disegni sono a colori e per questo la lettura scorre più facilmente. To me, this book felt filled with yearning. It's about women yearning for the wild, it's about the call of nature, about monstrous love. The gothic artwork is stunning to look at, and the kind of reversal it employs really appeals to me - it turns the elegant into unsettling and the disturbing into beautiful (...the scolopendra drawing).

Last Sabbath is a journalling game which means writing down your progress and going at a measured pace. In coop mode, everyone has the same ability to change events dramatically. At the same time lighter in tone and less cohesive than Sol, this is also a collection of illustrations from Loputyn, aka Italian artist Jessica Cioffi. The top tier is €90, which offers 10 copies of the zine, ideal for gaming groups or perhaps some retailers.

La storia inizia con il giovane Nicholas che si risveglia in una grande villa, che scopre essere del padre, completamente senza memoria e vittima di allucinazioni. Mentre cerca di inserirsi in quella che era la sua vita, il ragazzo vede infatti intorno a sé centinaia di conigli bianchi con un corno in fronte, che sembrano essere visibili solo a lui. Oltre ai conigli, vede anche il fantasma di una ragazza dai capelli bianchi... L'atmosfera è quasi onirica: all'inizio è davvero difficile capire cosa sia reale e cosa no, ma con il secondo volume otteniamo finalmente delle risposte (anche se non tutte, ci sono un paio di cose che ancora non mi sono chiare).
