Danni has now relocated with her family to Spain where she rund a cybersecurity company with partner and fellow TV hunter Ben Owen and talks about the importance of staying safe online. As an expert on personal and social media security issues, she is a regular on TV shows for her advice. Having joined the police force at just 18 years old, Danni Brooke’s aptitude shone through and she was Quickly recruited into the elite undercover officer unit at New Scotland Yard in London. She’s been commended as the most deployed female undercover operative across the British policing services. Danni has written an incredible book about her 10 years of undercover life in the world of crack dens and mixing with some incredibly dangerous characters, all the more amazing considering she is just 5’2″!

Great insight to covert police operations, highlighting the skill and bravado of those deployed in dangerous circumstances. It faded a little towards the end, with a lot getting crammed into a few chapters and losing engagement for me. Danni is most recently an author of her best-selling book – The Girl for The Job (PanMacmillan) Danni has transferred her investigative skills to Online. Danni continues to contribute to Hunted and Celebrity Hunted where she has an unwavering determination to capture even more fugitives.Though I’m proud of what I did, taking out some really nasty characters, I can see that drugs problem isn’t going to be solved unless there is some serious thinking at a governmental level. My life was full of danger every day and I couldn't tell my friends or family what I did for a living.

She has also participated in the Celebrity Hunted programmes, appeared on ITV’s This Morning , taken part in the C5 series Celebrity Trolls and is stars in the new C4 gameshow, Who Won't Believe This , hosted by Ellie Taylor. What I found quite shocking was the type of work Danni did at such a young age, she had a lot of responsibility on her shoulders and was in some dangerous situations . Over the next decade, Danni was involved in some of the most high-risk undercover operations across the United Kingdom, working against drug gangs, prostitution, firearms and paedophiles, and leading to countless convictions. With over 10 years experience working as an undercover operative with the Metropolitan Police, Danni learned a lot about personal and social media security which she shares with her keynote audiences.Gripping and eye opening, The Girl for the Job is an exciting account of life as a female undercover cop by Danni Brooke. She has also participated in the ‘Celebrity Hunted’ programmes, appeared on ITV’s This Morning, taken part in the C5 series Troll Hunters and is due to star in a new C4 gameshow hosted by Ellie Taylor launching this Spring. Then she spent her days on the streets and her nights in dingy clubs and crack dens, helping to gather evidence to put hundreds of dangerous criminals behind bars. For 10 years, she worked on high-risk, high-profile investigations, helping to gather evidence on drug traffickers and other criminals. In 2005 she left to set up her own real-life story agency First Features Ltd and since then has sold stories to all parts of the national and international press as well as television.

From drugs, gangs, firearms and prostitution, Danni has experienced all forms of criminality throughout her experience. Now she is not an undercover police officer any longer but she has her own business with her partner involving cyber security on a large scale so give it a few years and she will be ready for the next book! It meant that although she was officially employed by the MET she became an ‘asset’ for the entire UK, working all over the country. Danni Brooke became a police officer at age 18, and her investigative skills were quickly noticed as she was moved to work on an undercover unit out of New Scotland Yard.As a speaker, Danni is very engaging and I am very happy to recommend her to anyone who wants to raise awareness about cybersecurity. Since leaving the force in 2013 she has built up a successful career as an investigator on C4’s Hunted, now in its 10 th series.

And though her extraordinary bravery and quick-thinking earned her commendations, today she takes a more critical view of her police work. At 28, she became Features Editor of The People before leaving in 2005 to set up her own story agency, First Features Ltd, which sold stories to all parts of the national and international media. Danni Brooke is a superb choice as an International Women’s Day speaker, not only for women in the police force, but for women’s roles in careers. I won't say I didn't like the story, as I definitely did, however as my title suggests, to me it was more akin to a biography than a detailed insight into her role as an undercover police officer.
