Description

The FA3313X4 is the ideal replacement for end-of-life FireAngel CO-9B alarms, featuring the highest level of CO detection for your home. With intelligent CO sensing technology and built-in features including Sleep Easy function and Alarm Memory, this alarm will keep your family protected from carbon monoxide. The alarm’s high sensitivity mode will be enabled if the alarm predicts CO levels will increase to or above 180ppm for fast reaction to rising CO levels. Known as the ‘ Silent Killer’, CO occurs when fuels burn incompletely, with common sources being boilers, gas fires and hobs and solid fuel burners. However, carbon monoxide can also pass through walls, so you would also be at risk if a neighbouring property had a leak.

Do not install CO alarms within 3 metres of doors or windows, above radiators, or immediately close to anything that gives off steam or fumes like a cooker or shower room. Similarly, it is not recommended to install detectors in dusty areas such as workshops or garages. NOTE: The weight range chart should be used for reference only, or if the stamped number is too difficult to read.Carbon monoxide is a highly poisonous gas, caused by fuel not burning properly. It cannot be seen, smelt or tasted by the human senses and is only detectable through a CO alarm. With a multi-functional LCD digital display and array of exclusive features such as Alarm Memory, Ventilate Instruction, Quiet Self Test and Environmental Sensing, the FA3322X4 offers the highest level of CO detection for your home.

The FA3820X4 Carbon Monoxide Alarm offers a variety of safety features, including Ventilate Instruction, Alarm Memory, Sleep Easy and Quiet Self Test. https://www.fireangel.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/MA0394R1-FireAngel-CO-Icon-Guide-Blog-Assets-Identifier-Guide-Draft-1_Power-Nightime-Sensing.mp4The alarm comes with 2 X AA batteries that can be replaced once the low battery chirp can be heard. Also note that carbon monoxide has been proven to spread into neighbouring properties through open windows and, in semi-detached or terrace houses, through loft spaces. If your property has an attached garage with a connecting door through to the house, it is recommended to fit a CO alarm inside the house leading from that doorway. If you have had your FireAngel carbon monoxide alarm for a few years but it is still within warranty, and the isolation pin has been removed, please get in touch with our Customer Support team. If it is not within warranty, please replace your alarm as soon as possible. Why is my FireAngel CO alarm beeping? Once your CO alarm is activated and tested, choose to install the alarm by mounting on a wall or free standing on a shelf. Your alarm should be placed 1-3 metres away from any fuel burning appliance in your home, in living rooms or bedrooms. FireAngel recommend a CO alarm is installed between 1 m and 3 m away from each fuel‑burning appliance, as well as installing additional units in areas such as living rooms and bedrooms where you spend most time whilst at home. Activating your new FireAngel CO alarm

The advice below is purely provided for ‘best practice’ and should not be used independently. Please note, these alarms are not suitable for homes in Scotland under the new Fire & CO regulations. Once your CO alarm is activated, this icon or ‘heartbeat’ will continue to flash a green LED in power mode. If a battery fault or warning has been silenced for a period of 8 hours and times out during night time, the silence period will automatically be extended once for a further 8 hours (night silence will increase the counter by 1 for sleep easy). Please note, this feature is not available with the FA3820 or FA3313 alarms. Understanding FA3322 digital display indicators With the alarm memory function, the red LED will flash to provide a visual indication of a previous CO alarm activation. If your CO alarm is flashing a red LED light every 20 seconds, it has been activated recently. This is referred to as ‘alarm memory’, find out more about what this feature means here. Why does my FireAngel CO alarm not sound when I press the test button? Our FA3322X4 Carbon Monoxide Alarm with digital display comes with a sealed, tamper proof battery that will last the lifetime of the alarm. The sensors within the unit will deteriorate after 10 years, so to ensure you’re protected we recommend you replace the unit after this time. CO detectors should be installed near potential sources of carbon monoxide, essentially any fuel-burning appliances such as boilers, cookers and ovens, fireplaces (both open and enclosed burners), and portable generators. As you are likely to be most affected by CO in areas of your home that you spend the most time in it is advisable to install alarms in those areas as well, such as the living room and bedrooms. It is also worth noting that while one detector is better than no detectors at all, larger homes may require several detectors to cover the property fully.

With low level CO monitoring, a pre-alarm warning to open windows helps reduce the risk of CO poisoning and prevents build-up of dangerous CO levels. If a room is not ventilated and ppm levels continue to increase, the alarm will activate. However, if your CO alarm is beeping, flashing red or not responding during a test, follow our troubleshooting guide to decipher the cause. This guide applies to FireAngel FA3313 and FA3820 alarms. Why is my FireAngel CO alarm going off? Featuring easy to read LED status indicators, the FireAngel FA3820 carbon monoxide alarm is powered by a 10 year sealed lithium battery and is certified for use in your home or whilst travelling. Unlike other CO alarms, the FA3820 features a pre-alarm warning which encourages ventilation of your property when low levels of carbon monoxide are detected. The combined test / hush button allows for low volume weekly testing, and the Sleep Easy function can silence low battery / end of life warning chirps for up to 8 hours with a single button press.Find out more about what you should expect from your landlord for CO safety in your home.
