I was a bit overwhelmed when I opened the box and saw that there were 655 pieces to assemble. That is not an exaggeration it says so on the box. It took me a few hours to put it together. It is not for the easily discouraged. The instructions were actually pretty good. It was step by step 3D drawings and fairly clear if you have ever put together Lego sets or models. I was really impressed by the amount of details in the castle. For example the chandelier was multiple pieces and colors. There are multiple spiral stairs, operating windows, gates and doors. If you can endure the assembly the castle is pretty awesome.
