Put twice as much water as rice (by volume) in a large saucepan with a pinch of salt if desired and bring water to the boil. cup 250g (8oz) of uncooked rice provides four generous portions. Cook as per any of the following methods. Bring to the boil a large saucepan containing approximately four times as much water as rice (by volume). For best results we recommend you prepare as follows. Before cooking rinse rice and pre-soak for 15-20 minutes in cold water. Place rice in a medium bowl and pour in cold water to cover. Agitate rice with your hands until water is cloudy. Drain and repeat until water is almost clear (about 3 times). Pour in water to cover rice by 2"; soak at least 30 minutes and up to 12 hours. Harvested Swiss chard from my garden and decided this was what I would make with it. Great flavors and easily something to make again!
