A Chaos Star is an 8 pointed star symbol with arrows emerging from a central point. It has 8 equidistant arrows and is spoked in shape and design. Custom Star Map Print, Night We Met Anniversary Gift, Night Sky Print, Star Map Poster, Wedding Gift, Constellation Print, Personalised Gift I also enjoyed that the plot centers around courtly intrigue and military politics instead of the Martial world like in other Danmei's I've read. Don't get me wrong I love those stories as well but this was a nice change of pace. And while the violet gold does lend a bit of a steam punk fantasy level it wasn't over the top which was nice. Isis shrugs, trying to look guilty behind her delighted smile. I thought we could shake things up a bit. Besides, Isadora’s getting so big.

America has no roots. Nothing here lasts forever. I’ll fit right in.Once in San Diego, she is horrified at the prospect of yet ANOTHER inconvenient pregnancy, in this case, her brother's wife's incoming baby. It's like all these babies are conspiring to pop out of the place to diminish Isadora's existence in the world. It's damned selfish, these parents and their new babies and wanting to have them is so "self-centered," and "selfish." Isadora's also aghast at the fact that she has to work. It's a pretty cozy job, working to organize her family's donated Edyptian artifacts at the local museum. She meets new friends, a cute new boy with whom she is absolutely determined not to fall in love. My mother immediately knew something was wrong and came into the room to find me crying. She consoled me with a hug that soothed my hiccupping sobs, and a kiss that made my head stop hurting from the tears. My tongue darts in and out of the hole that tastes faintly of blood, and I’m fascinated by the new landscape of my mouth, proud that I’m shedding my baby teeth. Maybe it's wrong for me to question things when I read, but I want some explanation besides the facts you found about Ancient Egyptian mythology Wikipedia. Seriously, the tone of the info dumps read like Wikipedia.I'm a fan of mythologies, so I loved the concept of following the Egyptians gods/goddesses and their offspring, with the setting being the modern world. I love the idea of them existing/navigating our time period. It's amusing in many ways, but also gives a story so much more history, so much more expanse of time, taking the gods of old and bringing them through so many centuries to now. I love history & mythology so much! So I of course loved that about this book. Common Sense is the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of all kids and families by providing the trustworthy information, education, and independent voice they need to thrive in the 21st century. I love the characters and I love Priest’s writing style. If I hadn’t known it was translated I would have been surprised to find out it was.

It's not difficult to breathe life into mythologies. Even Josephenie Angelini has done that to a degree in that shit storm, Starcrossed. The info dumping was hideous in that novel, but at least it didn't seem to be like a ripoff of Wikipedia which made the rest of the book feel disjointed. It probably didn't help matters that were just some random bizarre parts of the book. For example, at one point the main character talks about her dad's magic penis. Its seems like 2023 gonna be my year in danmei... am i the only one [lol ofc nope] who is a bit too much excited too to known who is going to illustrate the art?.. yifu is precious so i want to see how are they going to draw him so badly!! ☻️💘 But my favorite place to be, even more than in the brilliant sun reflecting off the water of the Nile, was with my father. When I was old enough to navigate the steep, worn steps by myself, I was there every minute Mother allowed. As soon as I finished my morning worship, I’d skip straight down. Coloring on the floor next to Father’s knees as he nodded and watched things I couldn’t see. Giggling as I ran between Ammit’s unmoving lion and hippo legs. Memorizing the pictures along the walls, making up stories for the people portrayed there. what a blast reading this was! as a novice reader of a steampunk novel, i admit it's difficult to understand how the mechanisms invented in this novel work at first. also, it's hard to imagine how things look even if they were already described in extensive detail because, as what i've said, it's my first time encountering such terms. Sometimes I get bored. And sometimes all I want, more than anything else in the world, is to go on a freaking date.”

Once there, of course, she meets an awesome guy who thinks she hung the moon. He's gorgeous, he's talented, and he's perfect for her. Then that's your decision and I would respect that. Also I know a whole lot of gods to smite whoever it is you choose instead of me.' I slam the platter of charcoal, sauce, and garnishes down in the middle of the table and then sit for dinner. Mother clears her throat primly. She looks strange. Normally she barely gets out of bed during her mourning period, but other than the occasional freakout like yesterday, she’s been downright perky. That is one thing I don't want to read about especially in a YA book. And yes, I know she was retelling part of the Osiris book but...mind bleach please!

I wanted to enjoy The Chaos Of The Stars, I really did. I loved the description and cover for this book but I can't bear to read any more of this drivel. I'm DNFing at 20% for my own sake because this book makes me want to pull out my hair.

Yes, my head really did explode. Or the little vein that's on my forehead popped a little bit. It was that bad. Isadora has lived a sheltered life in Egypt with her family. Now, her family is made up of Egyptian gods and goddesses, so it wasn't exactly a normal upbringing, but she had a happy childhood. He leans in, and I smile against his lips, finally give up and let his love flood in and carve the last of my stone heart into a new shape I’m only just discovering. I think this will definitely be one of my new favorite series, I absolutely loved reading this book! I love how sci-fi is mixed with Chinese history, it’s a bit like Iron Widow only not entirely the same level of modernness. The 22 year old MC is nothing but paternal toward the other. There's no grooming, there is nothing predatory in his behaviour. He received this kid in his care and he's taking care of him. It's the teenager that starts to develop a teenage infatuation with his godfather. The teenage MC takes his godson responsability very seriously and is very diligent in his studies and training, so that he can become someone who can take care of his "little yifu" when he's old. He's horrified when he realizes he's starting to have a crush on his godfather.

The Chaos symbol was originated on an archaeologist’s workbench which is often referred to as Zamorakian artifact made in Archaeology.I’m so mad about this—I am—I’m furious. The only reason there are tears in my eyes is because I used too many onions in dinner. Besides, I say, trying not to sniffle, you’re the one who’s always going on about schedules and traditions and doing things the same way all the time so that chaos can’t creep in and mess things up! Moms and daughters: Talk about Isis and Isadora. Why does Isadora start out hating her mother? What makes Isadora understand her mother better? How is it reflected in her dreams? I get that you're scared and that you've been hurt. But doing what is easy and safe is no way to live, and a life without passion and love is so far beneath what you deserve.” Sometimes it hurts to be forgotten while I’m still alive. But she has a point. Every single one of my mother’s hundreds of offspring have had variations of her name or my father’s. Hathor and Horus (and pretty much everyone else) don’t even bother trying to remember my name. Did you know you can flag iffy content?
