I have the Proxxon tool and I use it a lot. I also "customised" some heads to get into odd or tight spaces. It is ideal for sanding filler-filled ejection pin marks in tight spaces. In addition to 7 standard polishing heads, the 2.35mm and 3.0mm collets make applying diamond burs or other polishing heads possible. Four-jaw design allows for different positioning options.

The PS 13 Pensander from Proxxon is a great tool for the model maker and miniaturist. It is ideal for working on surfaces in recesses, slots and other awkward to get at areas. The durable special DC motor is housed in a glass fibre reinforced polyamide casing and the unit features a sanding stroke with a linear action, not rotational. Supplied with four sanding arbors with straight shanks and four angled (all different shapes) as well as three sheets of pre-profiled self adhesive sanding pads. The sheets are of grits 180, 240 and 400 with 5 of each shape per sheet. Direct voltage 12 - 18V. 8,000 linear strokes/min. (2.5mm stroke length). Length 160mm. Weight 130g. N.B. A mains adaptor of at least 1.0A at 10-18VDC is required. We recommend Proxxon power supplies NG2/E or NG5/E.Sanding discs : less coarse than bands and flap wheels. Suited to light shaping and removing chips. When you don’t want to do a lot of re-scribing this little sander does the job where needed. I also have a small dish of water handy where I dip the plastic tip of the -400 into when doing a little wet sanding for the tight areas. I’m sure this isn’t recommend but it works brilliantly.with a little wet sanding in areas. Sanding bands : best for flat surfaces and edges. Coarser grit removes more material. Great for roughly shaping wood.
