Unlike the integrated amps of yesteryear, these new models have been designed for the modern audiophile. All models have a subwoofer out, optical and coaxial digital inputs. The major difference between the A-S301, A-S501, A-S701 lies in their amplification stage. In the vast majority of cases we will not be able to install the cabinet doors to built-in laundry products as the fittings very rarely match up. We will try our best however if we are unable to do this we will still install connect to plumbing and put the appliance in situ.

Fast forward to today and one would think that the future of sound was in multichannel, immersive audio. The Yamaha A-S301's built-in DAC allows the connection of digital sources directly, eliminating the need for an external DAC. The DAC chip that is used in the A-S301 is the Texas Instruments PCM5101, and supports resolutions up to 24-bit, 192KHZ.

Tone Controls: The integrated amplifier features independent bass (20Hz-400Hz band) and treble (3.5kHz-20kHz band) controls so you can increase or decrease the low band and high band frequency response (+/-10dB). The entire low and high bands are increased or decreased (you cannot indicate a specific center frequency for bass & treble). You can also adjust the output balance of the left and right speakers. Would you experience an amplifiers shortage of current as a drop in volume, or as inaccuracy involving these frequencies?

I'm liking what Yamaha is doing and want to get one of their integrated and generally I was aiming to get 80W per channel on these 8ohm bookshelf speakers (to get a full and well controlled response from them).
