Compared to my other fragrances this is the 2nd best fragrance I have in my collection and I'd score this a 9 or 9. Overall, if you want to smell like you're living on the edge and possibly have a few skeletons in your closet, The One is the fragrance for you. This fits into the character of person who ‘doesn’t wear cologne’, and this is their only bottle, for special occasions.

The journey with The One begins with a burst of freshness, a lively overture composed of invigorating grapefruit and spirited ginger, harmonizing with the symphony of spices – cardamom and coriander. I keep it to close encounter situations and dates, and so far I've been happy with this, even tho I wish it lasted longer. The first 3 hours project about arm's length on me, but my skin eats up scents like nobody's business so it might be a better performer than I can attest for.Whether you are looking to treat yourself or a loved one to a beautiful bottle of fragrance, you can be sure to find a perfect match with our collection of more than 500 perfumes. I quite enjoy the scent, however, the performance is pretty bad and I prefer YSL La Nuit de l'Homme. And while it definitely became an intimate scent by the 3 hour mark, I don't think that's a bad thing in the context of this being a "date night" fragrance. This is literally the one that made me realize that there are dark sexy fragrances that build confidence!

But if you set this aside for just dates and nights spent with your significant other, it will serve you well. I have both the EDT and EDP and feel like the EDT has a better smell, more sweeter to me which i think ladies are falling for the more sweeter side of fragrances than anything else. There’s a very good reason this parfum is named “The One”; quite frankly, it is its own uniquely complex world.Even though I bought mine recently, it is a 2021 batch made in France, which probably explains the terrible performance. One thing that I did notice is that the atomizer is not the best in the world and you don't get a lot when you spray so what I do is double spray the same area and spray in 4-6 areas and this helps with longevity.

If you're seeking an impressive dating perfume, look for something with better performance that will actually be noticed, like Sauvage Elixir, or the economical picks mentioned. I mostly use it for nights out rather than an everyday scent but it does not change the fact that it is amazing. Whilst sweet, it’s not cloying or headache inducing like some trendier fragrances, but doesn’t really smell outdated or mall-like to me. It opens with some freshness, but warm amber, sweet orange blossom and woody spices are the key here. PS: remember, there will always be a "newer" and "better" fragrance, enjoy the ones you have in the meantime.

This scent, with its rich amber and tobacco accords, emerges as the ultimate weapon in the arsenal of date night fragrances for men, encapsulating the essence of romance and timeless charm. So while The One EDP may bring up fond memories for me, I cannot recommend purchasing the current formulation. The notes almost melt together in a way that is so harmonious to your nose, that it leaves you wanting more and more, and therein lies the problem. Even tho a lot of people criticize this fragrance for its performance, I tried the overspray method on my wrist(5 sprays on the same spot) and it s fairly good, I can still smell it after almost 6 hours, not very strong, but fairly noticeable at the same time. Its hard to describe since fragrances just day to day can smell or hit you different depending on the weather or how it develops that day but the EDT just tends to have more better days for me than the EDP.
