achieve the same effect as when it is adjusted manually.• It has improved the accuracy of exposure when it is used with dedicated flashes manufactured by SONY. With a lens that features optical stabilisation, you activate or de-activate it with the switch on the lens even with cameras that feature in-body stabilisation such as the A7r II. The camera will use 3 axes on the sensor and the 2 axes on the lens.

Typically - new adapter manufacturers find it hard to get to do AF at all - then when they do it seems to need re-tries to get the best focus. KANAGAWA, JAPAN — February 23, 2016 – Sigma Corporation of America, a leading DSLR lens, camera, flash and accessories manufacturer, today announced the release of its new high-performance Sigma Global Vision lens converter – the Mount Converter MC 11 – for Sony E-mount, full frame and APS-C sensor cameras. With the new MC-11, Sony camera users will be able to utilize 19 Global Vision lenses in Sigma Canon Mount (EOS) and Sigma Mount (SA). Note: The adapter exists in two versions: SA (Sigma mount) and EF (Canon mount). For this article I tested the EF version. We were keen to try out some of our Sigma EF lenses on the range-topping Sony A7R II to find out what the AF performance is actually like, and if the combination of the worlds' smallest full-frame camera and Sigma's chunky Art lenses actually makes sense (or indeed work at all). I mainly use older L lenses (early zooms from c. 2005) and they work poorly-to-OK but the 1.2/50L is superb on the MC-11 with fast and accurate focus on A7r4.

It has become compatible with the SIGMA 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports for CANON EF mount, that has the latest firmware Ver.2.00. It has become compatible with SIGMA interchangeable lenses for Canon*1 that are updated to firmware ver.2.00. Come the L-Mount Sigma provides the MC-21 electronic adapter which seem to work quite well with most Sigma EF mount lenses but is not particularly compatible with Canon EF mount lenses.I haven't surveyed a lot of other adapters, but I can tell you that Viltrox certainly doesn't know as much about EF protocols. This can be seen with common mistakes they make like misidentifying full frame lenses as crop lenses and forgetting to stop down apertures when firing in AF-C. Fixed a problem in which the MF assist function would not work in rare cases when a lens with the MF switching function (Manual Override) enabled, or a lens with the focus mode switch set to MO was attached. A year later, we then tested the Sony A7R II with the newer Metabones Canon EF Lens to Sony NEX Smart Adapter (Mark IV) and a range of Canon and Sigma EF lenses, including 3 Sigma lenses.
