A nose of citrus and honey follows through on the palate, with a touch of light oak, caramel, and vanilla. What Gary Says Nose: The nose is somewhat simple and straightforward. At 95 proof, there isn’t a lot of strong scents, but the ones I do find are very nice. Cherry syrup, vanilla and light brown sugar paint this bourbon as a bit on the sweeter side. Amazingly, no really youthful notes catch my attention. Strangely enough, I get a passing whiff of butterscotch; a scent I typically find in bottles of EH Taylor Barrel Proof. That’s exciting!

It's almost like it soured on my palate. The tart almost sour apple continues on through to the end. A little bit of vanilla. It’s not a terrible finish, but it's not great.
