Download Celestron’s Starry Night Software and learn about the night sky, celestial objects, and how to plan your next observing session. You can keep all your important accessories on the tray provided and so always have them close at hand. Loolking at the standard eyepieces, the 4mm is much too powerful for the aperture of this scope and i would not expect great views from it. The Moon shows jaw-dropping detail, while Jupiter’s cloud belts, Great Red Spot, and four Galilean moons can be seen – though the disks and shadows of the moons can be hard to resolve even during a transit.

In addition to these benefits, collimation of the AstroMaster 76AZ is easy because of its long focal ratio, though you will have to provide your own tools since none are included with the scope. Reflector telescopes don’t suffer from chromatic aberration, colours appearing around an image, like some refractors. The Celestron AstroMaster AZ telescopes all use the same mount, which shares much of its design with the EQ versions’ CG-3 mount and tripod, the only difference being the design of the mount head. Locate and identify thousands of celestial objects on your laptop or PC with ""The SkyX"" Planetarium Software included FREE with every PowerSeeker model. U nleash the full pointing accuracy of your Celestron computerized telescope with a specialized telescope control software suite.Easily observe the belts and moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn with every one of these fine instruments. I've looked up some reviews and YouTube videos but unfortunately there's not a lot that explains what I could hope to achieve with this telescope. Plenty of double stars can be resolved with the LT 76AZ but you may have a hard time finding them or keeping them in the field of view, especially at higher magnifications. One of the most important factors in a telescope is its transmission—the percentage of light that reaches the focal plane.

The PowerSeeker series is designed to give the first-time telescope user the perfect combination of quality, value, features and power. The optical óres are treated with multiple layers to increase the luminosity and sharpness of the genes. They offer exceptional value, and feature portable yet powerful designs with ample optical performance to excite any newcomer to the world of amateur astronomy.

It also features collapsible altazimuth mounts suitable for terrestrial viewing as well as astronomical use. Feel free to discuss anything astronomical here, from what sort of telescope you should get, stargazing tips and tricks, to how to use that scope of yours that's been sitting around! The Celestron Powerseeker range includes the two major telescope mount types: Equatorial mount and Altazimuth Mount. The completely preassembled tripod has aluminium legs and provides a stable and vibration-free platform for mount and telescope. You have already had good views of the Moon and Venus, these are currently a couple of the best targets.Setting up the spotter scope however is very tricky and frustrating, and the tripod is pretty wobbly. EclipSmart solar products feature Solar Safe filter technology providing the ultimate protection from harmful solar radiation, including both IR and UV light, and filters 99. Many of the other fittings on the tube, such as the castings at the ends of the tube and the spider holding the secondary mirror in place, are plastic, so you need to be especially careful not to smack the telescope into anything, as repair or replacement of damaged plastic parts is next to impossible. Secondly, at night no matter what we try we can see absolutely nothing but blackness, even when we line the finder scope up to a bright star.

Its primary mirror is spherical, but this isn’t an issue due to its long focal ratio and small size. The motor drive compensates for the earth’s rotation by slowing moving or “slewing” to keep an object in view when using the Celestron Powerseeker Telescope. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. This award-winning optical system reduces visual defects like field curvature and coma, creating an ultra-flat field for pinpoint stars all the way to the edge of today’s largest imaging sensors.
