Along those lines, I can really recommend this scent to you if you've been craving the vintage version for a long time, but it's not worth all that money to you. I find it far more similar than any clones I've tested of it, no unnecessary chocolate notes or anything....

Dein La Nuit de L'Homme Signature Duft!" Beim 1. Testen im Geschäft (so stand es auch in meinem 1. Kommentar zu dem Neuling..) dachte ich mir nur "Oh, das riecht wie La Nuit de L'Homme". And I think they hit the mark pretty well, too. Einige Parfumkenner suchen die La Nuit de l´Homme-DNA jedoch vergeblich und sind deshalb etwas enttäuscht. Es ist mittlerweile bei einigen Häusern die Masche, die Düfte von damals zu verwässern. Logische Konsequenz, ich kaufe es nicht mehr. Especially with the "Eau de Parfum", probably many people would have hoped that it is simply a stronger, amplified version of the original. However, YSL as it so often happens, have composed the EdP with completely different notes, which I personally celebrate very much,- the grapefruit with the tons of cardamom just make a completely new, but great smell. Many people saw next to the expensive vintage flacons on the second-hand market the Flanker "Frozen Cologne" as a good alternative, it is but very similar to the "original formula", just a little fresher.

The thing that intrigued me so much about this release was an almost lost memory of a fragrance that YSL almost single-handedly buried many years ago. The name of that fragrance? La nuit de l'homme... La Nuit de l'Homme Bleu Electrique, le nouveau parfum pour homme par Yves Saint Laurent. Une Eau de Toilette Intense au sillage oriental aromatique, pour un séducteur des plus mystérieux. I think their work on the female Opium is a fantastic example of how they could respectfully revive this line.
