Cheered on by best friends Ashley and Raj, Zara embarks on a string of dating escapades that are as hilarious as they are disastrous. From online dating to blind dates, hometown hook-ups to flirty bartenders, nothing is off limits. Sophie was egged on to share dating experiences online while on holiday with friends 18 months ago. Let’s start with the FMC Zara, I’m sorry to say everything about her annoyed me. She was so needy for love, she had no respect for herself and as much as I can handle that sometimes she was just missing some feisty spunk. She needed to have more of a voice and actually stand up for her self! Filthy, hilarious and painfully relatable, Zara Smith is Bridget Jones for the millennial generation, from the writer of the Sex in the Glasgow City blog. Fans of Fleabag, Girls and Lucy Vine will love A Glasgow Kiss. A funny and heartfelt novel for any woman who wonders how the hell she got here and why life isn't quite how she imagined it was going to be...

These adverts enable local businesses to get in front of their target audience – the local community. The story was okay, but I did get a bit fed up of some of the stuff repeating throughout (why does she continually refer to her vagina as fishy?) and why is she obsessed with the “girth of the end of the penis”! When Jeanie's aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Café in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie jumps at the chance for a fresh start away from her very dull desk job.Meet Zara Smith: 29, single and muddling her way through life as a trainee nurse in Glasgow. I guess, in the end she makes the right choice, but this took her 99% of the book to figure out. And she didn't even know that she had to figure this out until literally the last second. I read it in a day and being from Glasgow was excited to read about someone dating and living in the area. I don’t feel that being set in Glasgow added much to the story, there could have been so much more made of it. A group of us are all reading this at the moment as part of our newly formed and made up book club and honestly we couldn’t have chosen a better book to start with… this is serious belly laugh, snort out loud material… we can’t put it down!!! EVERY GIRL NEEDS TO READ THIS!!!’ Now writer Sophie Gravia will share hilarious anecdotes from her debut romcom to raise money for charity. I have killed several people (some brutally, others calmly) and yet I currently languish in jail for a murder I did not commit. Rarely have I read a book about a more frustrating heroine than this one. Imagine every negative stereotype women have, cumulated into one character. She is insecure about everything concerning her body. The amount of comments about her body from herself and everyone around her were so annoying. She is a size 12 ffs! It could be any street, in any city. But it's not. It's Glasgow. And it's May - the marching season. The Orange Walks have begun.

Her blog exposes bizarre, questionable and downright unforgettable dating experiences, both from Sophie and followers. Meet Zara, a young, single girl struggling her way through life in the bustling city. She has almost completed her degree, living out a rented apartment owned by her Mother and vastly approaching thirty. I'll never forget a friend telling me a guy who tried to sniff her underwear when they met up." Zara has had a crush on Tom since her very first day at the aesthetics clinic she works at part-time. As things heat up between them, Zara can’t help but wonder: is this it? Or is it another disaster waiting to happen?

Before going into nursing, my mum told me, ‘Do something that you’re good at, do something that you like’.As her healthcare job got 'more intense' amid the coronavirus pandemic, the budding author wrote in between gruelling shifts. Have to agree with some other reviewers that the grammar and final editing is awful. At one point she pulls ‘out’ of Mark when I’m sure she meant ‘off’! That single word gave the whole scene a new angle and fetish if you know what I mean 🤣 I broke my hand on that holiday, which gave me six weeks off work, that's how Sex In The Glasgow City was born."
