HBO isn’t consistent with the way it releases its content, with some shows taking just a few months and others taking almost a year to go from airing on the network to DVD and Blu-ray.

With dragons, romps and gore (yes, we mean that birth scene) aplenty, House of the Dragon already looks set to be a worthy successor to Game of Thrones. She was raised in the Red Keep, close to the king and his innermost circle; she possesses both a courtly grace and a keen political acumen. However, we will see ancestors of the Starks, Lannisters, Baratheons and other families that we’re more familiar with. This is perfect timing for Christmas gift ideas, and it fits around the time Game of Thrones was often released on DVD and Blu-ray. With over 100 interviews, the series provides four and a half hours of exclusive behind-the-scenes content, documenting the cast and crew’s 10-month-long production journey across four countries.but instead she rose to become the most trusted -- and most unlikely -- ally of Prince Daemon Targaryen, the heir to the throne. Director Miguel Sapochnik will also serve as co-showrunner with Condal, and has been tapped to direct the first episode as well as several others, having previously helmed prolific Game of Thrones chapters including Battle of the Bastards and Winds of Winter. The casting seems to be on point - I saw no issue with any of the characters, and the leads were well chosen for their roles.
