Day 12 -Jan 5th -Hieromartyr Theopemptos, Bishop of Nicomediaand also Martyr Theonas (a pagan magician) Whatever Louie feels he must (and claims he can) explain in his letter to Santa. Considering that Louie is a Schemer to the point where he's known as the evil triplet, it's likely more than just one incident and probably includes various incidents of questionable morality from prior episodes as well. Linked to the Essex Witch Museum series - of which I still have a couple to catch up with - this collection is a mix of the weird and wonderful, the dark and twisted and all set in a variety of locations and featuring a range of different characters! It's not full on horror and gore, but often the more subtle sides to the supernatural, which can often be the most unsettling!

Pals with Jesus: Scrooge is friends with the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, and spends the holiday with them at the best Christmas parties in history. The Grinch: Scrooge seems to live up to his namesake, calling Christmas nothing but commercialism and misplaced sentiment, flying into an absurd rage at an ornamental Santa Claus. He doesn't actually believe this, it's just a facade so he'll be left to party with his friends. To clarify, he doesn't hate Christmas, but he does have a problem with Santa (he knows what he did). Scrooge does, however, come to realize it's still missing the point of the holiday to dodge your family. We have the 7 day Christmas tide which are part of the 12 Days of Christmas, focusing on immediate events up to His naming & Circumcision on the 8th day (January 1).Henceforth, we begin to prepare for the observance of His Baptism when He was 30 years old. The Baptism of Our Lord Glowing Eyes of Doom: When Dewey and Donald are walking through the forest looking for Della, the camera pans up to show that they’re being watched by a giant creature with glowing green eyes. Originally one of the most reliably cheesy categories of horror, the Christmas-themed scary movie has come a long way since the soft-focused made-for-TV movie days of Home for the Holidays and budget slashers like Silent Night, Deadly Night. But over the past few years, the high quality of entries like Better Watch Out and Krampus inspired us to assemble a best-of viewing guide. So after surveying decades’ worth of candidates, Vulture has come up with a list of a dozen essential scary holiday films, a “12 Days of Christmas Horror” to help you feel extra-festive — and remind you that at baseline, Santa is a home invader who breaks into your private life via chimney and leaves mysterious things for your kids! This list was first posted last year, but amended to reflect the addition of Anna and the Apocalypse, the zombie musical holiday romp you didn’t know you needed. Now, break out your worst fruitcake and get a big old knife to cut it with: ‘Tis the season to be terrified. Caught in a Snare: While running away from the Wendigo, Dewey and Young Donald get caught in one of the snare traps Della had set for Santa.

Be Careful What You Wish For: Downplayed Trope. Scrooge finally gets his break from his family and responsibilities thanks to Past, but immediately becomes bored by it and decides to go home.Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Contrasting with their present selves, Della and Donald switched roles over time. When they were young, Della was the responsible sibling, while Donald was the foolish one. These are short stories which take place in the world of Moore's Essex Witches novels - supernatural thrillers focussed on Rosie Strange and her family museum in the village of Adder's Fork, Essex. The Strange family and its history entwine with that of the Museum which is itself a slightly uncanny place. The collection does feature some stories which were in The Strange Casebook published last year but there are as many new ones, and the older stories stand up very well to rereading. If you've read and enjoyed the Essex Witch Museum books you'll have the chance to spot how the stories fit in to that world.

Predecessor Villain: Grandpa Beagle and his sons Bankjob, Bugle and Babyface are this to Ma Beagle and her sons Bigtime, Burger and Bouncer.I admit that I was charmed by the exceedingly low-budget pastiche "A Christmas Carole". It actually worked better than many a full scale parody. And "Christmas Eve at the Witch Museum" didn't disappoint; a worthy addition to the canon. Thrill Seeker: It takes seconds for Scrooge to grow bored of the peace and quiet when he finally gets it, realizing that the frustrations of life that he was trying to get away from actually brings in the excitement. As to be expected, the story is predictable and although the premise is a reasonably clever one there isn't really an original idea in sight. There are a lot of easily telegraphed scenes here. Some draggy pacing here and there too. I have to admit one of the reasons I enjoyed this as much as I did was down to Thomas Beaudoin who plays the ghost. I've never seen him in anything before but he was excellent. Decent acting and super good looking. He really pulled off a man from the turn of the century.

The title cards for the end credits are done in the same style as the original short film's opening credits.Death Becomes Her focuses on a policewoman we have seen before, and perhaps explains a bit about her. Nine Ladies Dancing- This symbol represents the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Sudden Anatomy: When Scrooge tells Dewey that Santa cannot be trusted, his eyes briefly gain visible irises.
