It is a vital tool for scientists & researchers who use it to sterilize or heat flasks, test tubes, & other containers for experimentation. Spirit lamps produce heat & a steady flame by burning alcohol or other flammable liquids, which makes them perfect for use in a laboratory environment. VWR’s warranty applies exclusively in the event of deficiencies resulting from a defect in design or from a hidden defect affecting the goods delivered and rendering it unfit for use. Where delivery or performance dates are stated by VWR these are estimates only and time is not of the essence; however, if VWR needs to change such dates it will do so only after providing information to the customer and having regards to the customer’s stated objectives.

Products supplied by VWR cannot be used as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in human or veterinary medicine because, as a distributor, VWR does not fulfil the requirements laid down in the guidelines for GMP medicinal products for human and veterinary use. The products we supply are intended for use in accordance with the documentation and manufacturer specifications under the user’s sole responsibility. Desert Spirits are references to jinns (anglicized as "genies"), mythical invisible spiritual creatures commonly associated with ancient and modern Arab Islamic mythology.The customer is responsible for unloading and transporting large and/or heavy items from delivery vans and for supervising the unloading of all other products delivered. Price on application’ (POA) quotations and all other quotations do not constitute offers and will be valid for 30 days from the date of the quotation, unless otherwise notified by VWR. Customer represents that it is familiar with and understands the terms of the U.S Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 (“US FCPA”) and that customer will comply with the US FCPA and all other applicable anti-bribery or anti-corruption laws and regulations of any other country or jurisdiction which are applicable to the parties’ business activities. Health & SafetyVWR may at any time, without limiting any other rights and remedies that it may have, set off any amount owing to it by the customer under the contract against any amount payable by VWR to the customer (whether under the contract or a separate agreement). Delivery

It is customer's responsibility to comply with all applicable health, safety and other regulations and to take appropriate steps in relation to the storage, handling, sale and use of the products. Any liability accepted by VWR under this contract is in lieu of any terms implied by law as to the quality or fitness for any particular purpose of the products and/or the standard of the services and all such implied terms are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from the contract between VWR and the customer. The customer shall indemnify VWR against any claims made against VWR by the customer’s employees, contractors or agents. Intellectual property rights Alcohol burners, like all open flame sources, pose a significant fire hazard, and must only be used when heating aqueous solutions or non-flammable items, like metal.

When using an alcohol burner, you need to use caution because you’re handling an open flame. Also, the alcohol you use releases a tiny amount of carbon monoxide, so ventilation is necessary. A customer shall keep in strict confidence all technical or commercial know-how, specifications, inventions, processes or initiatives which are of a confidential nature and have been disclosed to by VWR, its employees, agents or subcontractors, and any other confidential information concerning VWR’s business, its products and services which the customer may obtain. The customer shall only disclose such confidential information to those of its employees, agents and subcontractors who need to know it for the purpose of discharging the customers obligations under these terms & conditions, and shall ensure that such employees, agents and subcontractors comply with the obligations set out in this clause as though they were a party to these terms & conditions. Data Protection the total liability of VWR for any loss or damage suffered by a customer in connection with the supply of the products under this contract is limited to the invoice price of the products in relation to which loss or damage is claimed. Authorisation to return products damaged during delivery must be requested within 3 working days of delivery. VWR has the right to repair and return damaged products.
