Veronique needs to discover who she is who she and how to move forward without her mother as well as her career. Unlike many Danielle Steel novels, this one doesn’t have the main character— a woman— painted as a feeble, weak, reliant on a man to exist.

Beautiful had potential and I liked the message that Danielle Steel was trying to convey, but it just didn’t come across that well in my eyes.
