Compatible with the MX 24V 4.0AH battery and charger - sold separately. Over the years, I have honed my skills in writing informative articles and creating helpful videos for various blogs and publications. This has given me the ability to not only recognise what makes a good lawn mower, but also to help you choose the perfect garden tool for your specific needs and requirements. One of the things I noticed when I was setting the LawnMaster VBRM16 up was that it comes with a safety key. This is something you normally see with cordless lawn mowers so I felt it was a nice touch. The benefit of this is that you don’t need to worry about any accidental start ups if you have kids. Just take the key out and there’s no way for the mower to be started even if the battery is fitted. What’s Included In The Box? What do I mean by this? Well, unlike most robotic mowers, this one isn’t designed to be left outside all the time. It’s a drop and go machine which can be charged indoors and then you simply need to pop it on the ground and let it do its thing. There are many advantages to this which I’ll dive into in my LawnMaster VBRM16 review. Before you get started, you will also need to set up your boundary wires. Pretty much all robot lawn mowers are supplied with these wires and pegs to secure them. You’ll lay the boundary wire around the area that you want the mower to work in, which is pretty simple. Don’t be worried about the wires creating a trip hazard as it is possible to bury them should you need. When it comes to finding the best robotic lawnmower for your lawn, it’s important to consider the size and layout of your lawn, as well as the features and functions that meet your requirements. With robotic lawnmowers ranging from a few hundred pounds to several thousand pounds, it’s essential to find one that fits your budget and provides years of trouble-free mowing. ADJUSTABLE CUTTING HEIGHT: Choose from cutting heights of between 20mm and 60mm for a neat looking lawn. For best performance and to encourage healthy lawn growth use 60mm for longer grass and after regular mowing, gradually reduce the cutting height to your desired length. Getting Started Learn how to set up, use and troubleshoot your LawnMaster machine with instruction manuals, user guides, videos and FAQs.

What you spend on a robot lawn mower will largely depend on what features you would like. It goes without saying that those with more features and that are larger and more powerful will come with a higher price tag. At the extreme end of the scale, you might pay up to a couple of thousand pounds. For the best performance and latest features, keep your VBRM16 LawnMaster robot mower firmware up to date. As I discussed earlier, some of the more expensive robotic lawn mowers use GPS and RTK to navigate. However, the LawnMaster VBRM16 benefits from a camera and two sensors located at the front of the machine which enables it to ‘see’ the lawn and move around objects or stop at the edge. It’s also a good idea to look for a robot mower whose battery can be replaced. This allows you to swap batteries as their performance drops over the years, which is inevitable. Generally speaking, a lithium-ion battery will last less time than the mower itself so having the option to put a new battery in means you’ll get the most out of your machine. InclineThese blades can be raised and lowered using a dial on the top of the device, which sits underneath a protective cover. You can choose grass lengths of between 20 and 55mm, though unlike most robots, there’s no height guide on the dial itself – you have to work out where you want it from the Min, Max and Mid guidelines moulded into the plastic. There are loads of things to consider so the whole process might feel a little overwhelming. That’s why I thought it would be good to give you some help.
