Anti-Matter those are gorgeous but does the white get dirty easily? I feel my sweaty hands wouldn't be good for them lol. Beyond that, it's comfortable and convenient, including a 10-foot cable, perfect for players who don't want to worry about batteries or keeping the controller charged. Honestly, Joy-Cons are a huge missed opportunity. Both themed paint jobs and different buttons like we saw in the concepts (SNES buttons + colours!) just after the Switch was announced would sell like hot cakes.

My favourites are the pink and green ones, followed by yellow. I don't much care for the default red and blue. It comes with a 10-foot cable, so you can use it from a couch without any issue, and it features a button layout nearly identical to the Pro Controller. It also comes in two Nintendo-themed designs that include Mario and Zelda. The problem is that they're sort of hard to find these days. The Joy-Con controllers can also be attached to the Joy-Con grip to turn them into a sort of standard gamepad, albeit a small one. If you don’t opt for another controller, it does the job admirably, and we were able to make it through dozens of hours of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild without using anything else. The Joy-Con Charging Grip is a good choice for those who don't want to worry about reattaching the Joy-Con to the console after each session to juice them up. I already have too many of these stupid things. I'm not going to buy any more. ....at least, not until they produce Yoshi variants. Which I doubt will happen, but hey, you never know.At the end of your playing party, you're going to have to unpair all the Joy-Cons for your Nintendo Switch. You can't disconnect controllers one by one, instead you have to do it all in one fell swoop. Going on a road trip and want to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze with your friends? 8Bitdo’s Zero 2 controller is a tiny alternative to the Joy-Con controllers that contains all the buttons you need for split-screen multiplayer games.

I'm still baffled why Nintendo doesn't use this idea to the fullest. Unless it's some production issue. There's one catch here: The two Joy-Cons are seen as separate controllers by your PC. You can use them as separate controllers, but you can't combine them and use them as a full controller at the moment. Connecting the Controller to Your PC Even if the Joy-Con controllers are attached to the Joy-Con grip, it counts as 2 controllers that are connected. Make sure you attach the Joy-Con (L) and (R) on the correct sides so that the buttons are positioned correctly with respect to the console. Also I would like a US Super Nintendo themed Joycon set. Love the purple and grey. Wouldn't mind solid purple and solid teal either. My two favorite colors. Both are available for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Switch, giving veteran players the classic control scheme they know and love. The adapter is identical to the one used for the Wii U, so you can plug that into your Switch if you still have it, and this gives you enough ports for everyone in the match to use a GameCube controller.

Had to send my Switch in for a repair (overheating, fan sounded like a motorcycle) so I sent my left joycon with it, I'm sure it'll be fine after that. SpawnWave on YouTube has a recent video detailing the process, he says it's easy. Not much to lose if you are not going to use your Joycons in that state anyway. The motion included is more precise than the action you might have experienced with the Wii Remotes. Users describe HD Rumble as a way to feel the sounds from your game. It’s a more refined version of the vibrations you’ve felt from other controllers. HD Rumble features a higher degree of vibrations with variable speeds to enhance immersion. The built-in NFC reader is made specifically for amiibo, which are the little Nintendo figures that you can scan into participating games. In most circumstances, up to eight wireless controllers can be paired to the console. However, the maximum number of controllers that can be paired will vary depending on the type of controllers and features that are used. For example:Note: Up to eight wireless controllers can be paired to a Nintendo Switch system. However, the maximum number of controllers that can be connected will vary depending on the type of controllers and features that are used. Complete these steps I have all of them (plus straps) except for the grey and Smash ones. I assume that the Smash ones would be read as standard grey ones by the console, again assuming that each Joy-Con only contains a single colour code which is identifiable by the console. Add additional storage for storing more digital games on your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite with compatible microSD cards. I got grey on my console and the neon yellow for my secondary joycon controller (AKA TV controller). I love them setup like that, the grey gives the console a more complete and mature look and feel IMO and the neon joycons just look nice on their own. You can make your Joy-Con vibrate so you can find it more easily. Select "Controllers" → "Find Controllers" from the HOME Menu.
