Breathing- haunting yet again and extremely unique, unusual that it portrays Kate as a fetus aware of the struggles in the outside world, it chills you as it refreshes with the rhythm and pacing' out in out in out in out 'and the fantastic messages and sense of unease executed through the best production a song could ever have, a favourite song of mine in general and possibly Kate's most powerful song to date. Beyond the front cover illustration, the back continues its thematic thread, featuring Kate Bush in flight alongside ominous black vampire bats. The song links his name to those of several music stars who died in the previous decade— Minnie Riperton, Keith Moon, Sandy Denny, Sid Vicious, Marc Bolan—and one earlier icon, Buddy Holly. The true highlights of this album are the lilting waltz of Army Dreamers, as well as Breathing, a song about an unborn baby who reports on a nuclear holocaust from within its mother's womb. It was Bush's first number 1 album and was also the first ever album by a British female solo artist to top the UK Albums Chart.

That Kate Bush rolling around like a squealing 'ninny' like this (Granny imitating her movements from within the sphere) in a great big ball'!Never for Ever was the first Kate Bush album to feature digital synthesizers and drum machines, in particular the Fairlight CMI, [5] which was programmed by Richard James Burgess and John L.

As a pioneer of theatrics and pyrotechnics, it comes as no surprise that the artwork for many of Kate Bush’s albums evoke that precise level of extraordinary: her debut album demonstrated this beautifully with its depiction of Bush holding onto a large dragon kite, gliding across a vast, all-seeing eye.already this is one of my favourite albums of all time after owning it for just a week, Kate is that sort of artist. It features the UK Top 20 singles " Breathing", " Army Dreamers" and " Babooshka", the latter being one of Bush's biggest hits. The woman featured in his work, ‘Undine in the Wind’, bears a striking resemblance to the figure of Bush depicted on the cover of Never For Ever, right down to the detail of both figures standing on their toes. Blow Away (for Bill)- another change in direction with a song that makes me feel really good as the vocals are as ever as chanting as ever they could be (a Christmas feel) and another gem. Lanzado en septiembre de 1980, fue el primero de la artista en lograr el número uno en las listas de popularidad, así como también fue el primero en general por una solista británica en encabezar el UK album chart y debutar en la primera posición.

As with The Dreaming remaster (the only other I've bought so far) she seems to have avoided the usual remaster path of turning all the sliders up to the max and got Guthrie and Plante to smooth off the rough edges. Though at the time she was younger than 21, Bush confidently became the careful, experimental studio-only artist she remained for the remainder of her career. However, the album that encapsulates her entire essence and arguably stands as one of the finest in the realm of music due to its profound relevance and unparalleled creativity is undoubtedly Never For Ever. One such influence was the Renaissance painter Pieter Breughal, whom she once said would be the artist she would most like to embody. More recently, AllMusic gave the album a favourable review, complimenting the three singles most highly but said that Bush would improve on the formula on later albums.
