Mirka Mirlon denibbing pads are especially designed for sanding surfaces prior to the application of finishing coats, primers or lacquers. The pads work excellently when sanding wood, plastic, metal components as well as painted surfaces where their woven structure resists clogging.

As well as providing many practical benefits, Danish Oil also enhances the appearance of the oak by bringing out the natural grain. What Does Danish Oil Look Like When Applied to Oak To re-oil the wood, sand the surface using the fine pad and apply oil in the same way as above. Cleaning A. We chose Danish Oil as it is an all-round oil that works great on all wooden surfaces. It provides great protection from wear & tear, high water repellence, and really enhances the natural look and feel of the wood. A. Yes. The kit has been designed to work on all different types of wood finishes. In the preparation stage you will remove the current finish from the wood, allowing the wood to then be oiled.

A Foam Brush absorbs the product and allows you to liberally and evenly distribute the oil on to the surface of the wood. There are also multiple sizes available, so that you can apply oil to all those hard-to-reach areas on any wooden item. Like with any wood restoration task, the more effort you put into the preparation, the better the result. In this case, it is sanding and cleaning the wood. Sanding removes the old finish, and cleaning helps removing any staining from the wood and also removes any dirt that would effect the finish. Once clean, leave the oak to dry, then sand it with another Sanding Pad (but this time, without the Wood Cleaner). The second sanding will remove any original finishes applied to the wood such as an oil, wax or varnish. Two more coats should be applied after the first, leaving four to six hours between each coat to ensure the previous application has completely dried before applying the next. Step 3 – De-nibbing between coats Our Danish Oil is a unique blend of natural oils and resins that penetrate deep into all interior and exterior wood and dries to provide a hard, durable, and lustrous satin finish, making it suitable for high use areas such as flooring, dining tables and kitchen worktops.
