Sylvia Plath, ‘ Daddy’. One of Sylvia Plath’s most famous poems, ‘Daddy’ controversially links the father in the poem to a Nazi officer, and references the Holocaust. Variously seen as a highly autobiographical ‘confessional’ poem and as an extremely loose fictionalised account of Plath’s own relationship to her father (an entomologist and bee-expert who died when Plath was just eight), ‘Daddy’ continues to generate much discussion amongst Plath’s readers and critics. Blair’s friendship with her cousin Stevie was another of my favorite aspects. It gave Blair the opportunity to show us how much she cares and how deep she can love and protect someone of her choosing. Their banter and whole dynamic was so charming (heh), and Stevie was such a delightful surprise. Her relationship with Kas and Asmo had me going feral. I need more of those three and their whole dynamic. We all know how good Sarah Blue is at writing menage/RH, and this throuple has potential to become one of her bests. the romance? Ahhh! So this was a super fun spooky season read. I really enjoyed Charming Your Dad; it just hit the spot with excellent spice, great characters and paranormal goodness. Charming Your Dad is a bit dark, plenty of funny and a hell of a lot sexy. Sarah Blue created an universe with demons and witches and other supernatural creatures, and combined it with some of my favorite kinky tropes, a superb chosen family, and the most addictive characters and side characters. What the hell?? Why isn’t everyone reading this rn??? It’s the perfect smutty spooky season paranormal book I’ve read in so long. Blair is a feisty witch living in Hallowsdeep with a coven that resents her power but lives off her money. She’s just found out her boyfriend Ryan is cheating when she and her cousin Stevie come up with a plan for revenge. And…in walks demon daddy, paranormal investigator, Daxaddon. I loved the FMC Blaire. She was strong willed, independent and didn’t take shit from anyone. But she wasn’t cruel or one of those characters that says she’s tough but has no follow through. I also loved Dax. He was serious and hot but again, wasn’t an asshole. Which was nice to see. I still love my alpha-holes as much as the next person but I like to change it up!Kinks: exhibitionism and voyeurism, D/s, praise, daddy (no age play), light choking, somnophilia, toys are friends not foes mentality I am pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it. I thought it was going to but just a fun read to finish the Halloween season but it was so much more than that! At first I thought I wasn’t going to like it because there were a few moments of immaturity within the dialog but that fortunately didn’t carry throughout the book. This isn’t me. I don’t call men daddy, I don’t let them see the real me. I’m all hard shells, strap-ons, and a good time. It was supposed to be for revenge purposes. Nobody makes a fool of Queen Bitch Witch, Blair Bellamy without consequence. Especially a human boyfriend who humiliated her with the nemesis. Going against her father’s plans is dangerous. Money, deceit, and status rule Liv’s family. She’s willing to risk it all for these men. Are they willing to do the same for her?

The Charming Series - Sarah Blue Author

Charming The Devil - Lilith knew her fate upon death, even if her wrong doings were ones rooted in vengeance. She didn’t know what to expect once becoming a resident of Hell, but falling in love with the devil himself wasn’t part of the plan.Charming As Hell - Hells never been hotter with the long-lost spawn of Satan firmly where she belongs. With a shiny new corporeal body and deep desperation for adventure, Mara is ready to paint the town red. Their situations are messy but these two are blowing off steam naked. Where in the past Blair has been in control, the power has been shifted. Daddy Dax is a man who can meet all your needs. Except Blair has some serious explaining to do when passion turns into something real. Theodore Roethke, ‘ My Papa’s Waltz’. In this poem, whose rhythm echoes that of a waltz dance, Roethke recalls the time he danced with his father in their kitchen. He remembers the smell of whiskey on his father’s breath and his mother’s disapproving stares as she looks on. After nearly a decade of possessing humans to survive, Mara is looking for answers and she won’t stop until she has the full picture. Despite her paranoia, she manages the loyalty of three very attractive demons. Whether she’ll use this army for war or for her own personal pleasure is yet to be seen. when blair’s boyfriend cheats on her with another witch from her coven who btw tried to kill her👀👀, she is furious and wants revenge👹👹👹

Dad is immediately taken with Blair, and once she turns on the charm, he’s a goner. Her magic speaks to his and he’s determined to spend time with her. Things go from revenge to genuine feelings fast, and Blair is scrambling to figure out how to break the truth to Dax. Only problem? Not only is he Ryan’s dad, but he’s a demon from Hell. And he’s in town to capture a demon who keeps possessing bodies before she accidentally kills them once she moves to another one. Liv Desoto has always been in love with her brother’s best friend. He thinks he’s protecting her by keeping his distance. Liv’s obsession with him only grew when she perfumed as an Omega and his Alpha scent became her own personal addiction. Is that what you want, babe? You want my mouth on this wet pussy. I bet when I put you down, I’ll have a wet spot on my pants.” I’m not sure. But my suspicion is he’s extremely handsome, a supreme dirty talker who has mischievous shadows.” The one thing for certain is that there’s no stopping this formidable demon from getting what she wants, even if she doesn’t seem to know what her own end game is.E. E. Cummings, ‘ my father moved through dooms of love’. This poem was written about Cummings’ own father, a Unitarian minister and Harvard University professor. Written in Cummings’ distinctive style, this is, for our money, one of the greatest poems in praise of a father ever written.
