After applying it , when it started raining a day later it’s started going yellow. Not fit for purpose. I also used 2 tins of fresh rosemary which was fine. Must be a bad batch. There can’t be any quality control at Cuprinol. It sounds as though the protective layer of the previously applied Garden Shades is stopping the new coat from adhering. During the Spring, I was invited to a Cuprinol event (the wood care partner of Dulux) as they were showcasing their Garden Shades range in the stunning location of the Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings in London. Be mindful that it is waxed-enriched and that once these waxes are dried, they act to repel liquids, which would include an additional coats. Don't try to coat the whole project with one coat before getting onto the next coat. Instead it is better to paint sections in in time chunks of 2-4 hours.

We'd recommend brushing over the surface with a stiff bristle brush to break down the waxes following a clean down to remove any residue. Once the waxes are broken down and removed a new coat can be applied. I really wish they would get there colours right, I chose Natural Oak didn't look dark on tin but it's the colour of dark chocolate. Please get someone who knows the colours to put correct images on tins. Very frustrating. My love of color and pattern was completely missing from our garden. It was like my taste and style stopped at the bifold doors and I was always apologizing to guests when they came over, saying I liked the garden neat and tidy (devoid of character) and was going to let it grow wild (which was obviously a code word for I’m lazy!)

The wood in places had been weathered to the point where it won’t adhere(panels are only 6 yrs old)
