Description

I don't care who you are or what music you listen to, you must have this in your collection. This is emblematic of '80s pop music, and is a masterpiece of writing, performance, and production. Will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Recorded and mixed using the Acusonic Recording Process. Recorded at Westlake Audio, Los Angeles, CA. Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. WITH co-production credit for MJ on rear of sleeve (see here for version without the co-production credit: Thriller = スリラー)

Wow, this is a f** killer pressing. Compared with my French and German first pressing, this Japanese one is full everywhere. Billie Jean is simply amazing. I know this pressing does not beat an original or Mofi pressing, but i still think it's a really good reissue. Two minor imperfections - only visible when looking at the disc trough sunlight. Box and insert are very nice, absolutly perfect. Mastered by Krieg Wunderlich, assisted by Shawn R Britton at Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab®, Sebastopol, CA on The Gain 2 Ultra Analog System™. But IMO it’s not that great like some other MoFi records, e.g. Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms. Both should be Digital Studio productions, Brothers in Arms is a Masterpiece (also in terms of production quality for early Digital Recordings) and Mofi made it even better, a big WOW and a great pleasure to listen! Thriller was not that big WOW and fun that I expected.Release is housed in a cardboard slip case, and includes fold out poster (that largely replicates the original art except for the addition of the Original Master Recording® banner and some credit updates), lyric sheet, MoFi Archival Master sleeve, and white cardboard insert.

Recorded By [Using The Acusonic Recording Process], Mixed By [Using The Acusonic Recording Process] – Bruce Swedien I have owned literally dozens and dozens of copies of Thriller from all over the globe - UK, Holland, US, JP, Brazil, MoFi etc. The #Thriller40 campaign includes the release of a special commemorative vinyl pressing of the original album, limited to 40,000 numbered copies. The pressing, known as the One-Step process, and invented by the Mobile Fidelity Recording Lab, limits the number of times vinyl copies can be made from the original master tapes. Expect tremendous amounts of extra musical detail and dynamics, which are otherwise lost due to the standard copying process. Does someone know when the code bar appeared on that album? I've just seen a record sold as a first pressing with the code bar on it.All runouts are etched except the pressing plant and mastering identifiers "P" and "o" which are stamped.

f) Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean, Human Nature. Each song was intended for all audiences! Record is like you would expect from a Japanese pressing - sounds gorgeous throughout with a wide and dynamic sound and almost non-existent surface noise. Cover is high-quality both visually and physically as well.
