In May 2017, Ubisoft confirmed the development of Assassin's Creed Origins; one month later, the setting was confirmed to be Ptolemaic Egypt. Unlike previous installments in the series, which were structured like action-adventure games, Origins is an action role-playing game and introduces many new features to the series, including an overhauled hitbox-based combat system.

Instead of five completely different and random stories, you get five different stories that build up together for one event that ends up being the start of Throne of Glass.It is the first game in the series to feature multiple playable protagonists, whom the player can switch between both during and outside missions.

I really liked Yrene, and the little bit of her back-story that we received, but this novella just completely felt like filler for me. Another thing I appreciated in this story was that the main character had some kind of punishment for her naivety and stubbornness. Assassin's Creed Odyssey was released in O The change in setting meant that the game would feature a new cast of characters, including a new protagonist, Ezio Auditore da Firenze.I 100% admit that this mostly because of how much Chaol we get in this book (which I know is a hot topic that I’ll get into more in the spoilery section), but I also enjoyed seeing Celaena’s role in Adarlan and watching her explore magic.
