The claim that it's about depression is deceiving: the advice given by Cotton Fearne is to eat healthy, sleep enough, look after your appearance because it has an impact on your mood, journal, be creative. There is nothing more frustrating than knowing what will make you feel better and realising you cannot achieve it. The author first goes through her own period of depression, before moving on to show how she has become more balanced in her work and family lives. Fearne has been on our screens presenting live TV since the age of 15 when she was spotted by ITV's Disney Club. Instead there is mountains on how much she loves her kids or how much she loves her husband or how much she liked writing or painting or yoga etc.

I received this book as a Christmas gift and gave it a skim read to see if there was anything remotely new or compelling. Tristemente con este libro me costó muchísimo trabajo porque aunque lo que comparte son consejos prácticos, en mi caso lo sentí como más un workbook que un libro para lectura y al tenerlo digital para mi simplemente no funcionó. I also didn’t get a copy of this PDF that is promised a million times throughout the book so I wasn’t happy about that! Determined to break loose from the taboo of mental health, Fearne opens up about her own fight with depression, how she managed to keep it at bay and how she continues to improve herself. I am now working my way through the journal that was published alongside the Happy book, and as it’s a year long journal you will have to wait until the end of the year for my review but so far I am loving some of the ideas and I can definitely see it making a difference in the way I am seeing situations. This was a very easy to read book and although it covers mental health, I don't know that it would be enough on its own to help someone overcome a really bad bout of depression. His UK tour in March is sold out and final tickets are available for his headline shows at Alexandra Palace Park (July 19th), Dublin (June 26th) and Halifax Piece Hall (June 30th). I also found the location for some of the fill-in activities to be a little awkward, breaking up the chapters and disrupting the flow a little. I suppose the same is true for me in relation to noise as I grew up in such an idyllic and quiet environment I feel on edge around constant disturbing noises.

How much happiness she takes in the simple things, like being with her family or cooking a meal for a friend. They also talk about why acknowledgement and acceptance are big parts of moving forward from your current difficult situation. In social media, Fearne has over 7 million Twitter followers and a combined Facebook and Instagram following of over 2. I would recommend to anyone who feels they need a boost in life or to read soenthing which gives you that 'feel good' feeling. Fearne is currently back in her role as team captain on the 16th series of Celebrity Juice, a show that continues to be a ratings winner for ITV2.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It is sad to hear that Fearne struggled through some periods of low mood, but I don't think this book should be aimed at depressives. If you can set aside time to think about your answers to the activities included it can support a change in mindset. From the tips of your toes to the top of your head, each body part can play an important role in helping you feel great.

Whether it's using your feet to stay active, your mouth to talk about your feelings or your shoulders to feel confident, this is a one-stop holistic guide to happiness from bestselling author, Fearne Cotton. Absolutely lovely reading a book about depression written by someone that’s suffered not a doctor who knows about it all, but really doesn’t know how it feels to be depressed. I was about halfway through the book thinking it was okay but not great, and I then decided to pick up a pen and go back through the book and fill it out properly – and it went from okay to brilliant. I remember meeting her many years ago at a show filming in London and thinking wow that woman is so full of confidence I wish I could more like that! I love the idea that Happy has a companion journal to work through and learn from while focusing on what matters to you.I can see how this would be useful for some people, and having a book like this written by a popular figure certainly brings it to the masses, but I felt like it lacked scientific information and regurgitated a watered down version of therapy. I’m think most people would benefit from reading this book especially if sometimes being happy is the hardest thing in the world. For many of us, life can feel like it's moving too fast with pressure bearing down on us from all sides - whether that's from school or work, family or social media. Don't read if you are actually in a dark place this happiness might make you worse, read when your out of it and reflecting back and therefore can be as happy and smug as the book. They also chat about why setting boundaries – especially drawing lines between personal and professional life – is so important.

but this doesn't help much for those who don't have a compatible device or those who might be visually impaired. If you desire to begin 'Finding joy in every day and letting go of perfect', then this book is the ideal companion for you. This book is a breath of fresh air ❤️ It is so interactive and there are so many exercises all the way through where Fearne encourages you to scribble and doodle your way through the book. It is not however a replacement for therapy for anyone struggling significantly with mental health issues but rather a warm, caring hug of a book to support alongside treatment, medication or self care. If you (like me) borrowed the audiobook via a library app, it's likely you didn't have this pdf easily accessible.
