Description

I did not realize at the time exactly what this tool was designed to do. It is not a replacement for normal pliers. It is more of a replacement/substitute for an adjustable wrench. The jaws remain parallel throughout motion and have no teeth. They are meant to be used on hex bolt heads/nuts. Having this ability to get a solid connection from pliers can be very useful, and will prevent damage to the fastener. You cannot however use them to grab a smooth pipe. The adjustment mechanism includes a button on a spring which feels flimsy but may be good enough. It may loosen up over time and be easier to use but for me, on a new tool, it does not adjust easily.

From gripping and holding to pressing and bending applications, there is little that the Pliers Wrench can't do Parallel jaws give a more solid grip; its design allows flexible adjustment of all widths up to the specified maximum size These are the tool that I use the most. I've used them for automotive work, plumbing, general tasks, you name it. I find myself grabbing these instead of any of my other tools.

Bought these to flesh out a new tool box and so far they are a great alternative to your common adjustable wrench, much more confident grip on what you are working on. Price is a bit high but with Knipex I expect these to last a long time so it's a worthwhile investment. They are expensive. This is the most expensive hand tool I have ever bought. But I figure if I use it for years and years instead of buying a cheap adjustable wrench that I carelessly misplace after the jaw becomes loose and damages what I am working on, I figure its well worth it.

At work, I often have to disconnect and reconnect fittings of various sizes on equipment manufactured overseas. I also prefer not to drag around a handful of wrenches, and I hate adjustable crescent wrenches since they either adjust too tight or too lose. These are a cross between adjustable pliers and an adjustable wrench, but unlike most compromise/hybrid tools, these actually inherit the best of both worlds. This will be my fifth pliers wrench that I own , I'm only missing the 12" size now. Amazing tool, wish I started using these earlier on These replace my 12" adjustable with the same jaw width, yet are much lighter! I like the contoured handles, very comfortable. Super amazing and versatile the grip strength on these is awesome and dosent damage or scratch up fittings They are lighter than an adjustable crescent wrench and much more versatile, but they are very strong.I have been waiting for a sale on these pliers, and lo and behold, KC Tools had a great deal. The pliers are of excellent quality, the fit and finish are fantastic. It was worth the wait, if you are a diyer or tradesperson- these are legit. The Gold standard in pliers wrenches. Why would anybody buy chinesium crap, when these are around. hf are you nuts?
