Yes. Gellux can be applied over any nail extension system – UV/LED gels, Acrylic or Fibreglass. Can Gellux Gel Polish be used to sculpt or extend nails? Overall, both acrylic and builder gel can be used to create equally stunning manicures. It’s always best to take a good look at your client’s nails and see how strong they are naturally before deciding which is best for them. Gelover Soak Off Gels are completely solvent-free, meaning that this 100% pure gel formulation is not just kinder on the environment; they are also safer and better for the natural nail. Gelover Soak Off Gels are an ideal colour option for helping to encourage strong and healthy nail growth and deliver fantastic durability and shine. Other nail techs simply prefer working with acrylic, particularly if they have clients who love having their nails extra-long. When looking for vegan nail polish, you might see some that are referred to as ‘cruelty-free’, ‘not tested on animals’ or ‘Peta-Approved’. These are all good signs for animal lovers, but does it mean they are vegan? What is Vegan Nail Polish?

Generally, the steps you would take to apply a builder gel would be something like this: How to use builder gel – step by step guide 👇 Vegan clients will love Bluesky gel polish, which is cruelty-free and contains no animal-derived ingredients. Along with a fantastic range of colours to choose from, including beautiful glitters, the primer, top coat, and base coat offer a minimum and 14 days of wear when applied correctly.

Apply base coat or primer– if your builder gel requires you to use one. Cure under your nail lamp if needed. If you don’t need a primer, you can skip this step and save some time. If your client still can’t decide which to go with, keep some pictures of your best work handy to show them the different looks you can create with them. Learn how to strengthen, build and extend the natural nail with Gellux Builder + Base in a bottle. Ideal for adding strength and length to the natural nails, gel overlays, or sculpting with forms or nail tips. Leave natural with one or layer with Gellux gel polish for more colour, easy soak off removal with no damage. Always make sure you follow your chosen gel brand’s instructions to get the best results. This often means only using products from your chosen gel nail system – not mixing one builder gel with another brand’s top coat, for example. Gellux has created a gel polish range which is suitable for vegans, cruelty-free and free of harsh ingredients that can damage nails. They’re the answer to 15 days of no chip, no wear, and no wait colour for fingers and toes. With a great choice of gorgeously glossy, colour-perfect shades, Gellux dries instantly cured with either UV in 2 minutes or LED in just 10 seconds for guaranteed smudge-free nails.

If a nail polish is vegan, it means that no animal-derived ingredients are used in the formula or production process. Regular or ‘non-vegan’ nail polishes often contain ingredients from fish scales, crushed beetles, beeswax or animal protein to give them the right consistency or level of shine. Vegan nail polish uses other natural or man-made substances in place of these, such as aluminium or faux pearl, to make them ‘vegan’. What is Cruelty-free Nail Polish? At Salons Direct we have a wide range of gel polish brands available to suit all budgets. Most gel polish brands have now ventured into the world of builder gels and everyone’s gone mad for them. Some of our best selling ranges are: Glossify Naturabuild, Glitterbels Brush On Builder Gel, Halo Easibuild Builder Gel, & Gellux Builder Gel. If you are new to gel nails, you might be wondering what the difference is between the terms hard gel, soft gel and builder gel. Just what exactly are they all?! Hard Gel However, that’s not to say that acrylic is particularly bad for nails! If clients have really soft nails, acrylics can offer a suit of armour to protect them. So long as they are applied, cared for and removed properly by a trained nail technician, gels and acrylics should be equally safe.

Is builder gel better than acrylic?

Did you know Hema is a hydroxyethyl methacrylate which is used to give a nice shiny, hard finish in gel polish? It’s considered the number 1 allergen in nail and cosmetic products, and Glitterbels have revolutionised the game by removing it from this gel polish range. Brillbird Brush and Gois a highly pigmented hard gel that is perfect for creating nail art. These highly pigmented gels don’t need cleaner / top gel; they cover in just one layer! Curing time depends on the art, but generally speaking, it is around 5-90 seconds. Doing so grants nail techs the ability to perform nail services on clients who have shown signs of an allergy. These vegan gel polishes have been manufactured and tested to cure perfectly and are suitable for clients who have been overexposed or allergic to Hema. Did we also mention they have many different colours to choose from? You’re in for a treat!

When the builder gel begins to grow out, you can infill just like you would with acrylic, or remove the set and apply another straight away – providing the nail is still in good condition. Looking for traditional vegan nail varnishes for your salon? Don’t think you will be limited by your choices, as these fantastic vegan nail polishes can prove they are just as good as the rest… Today, vegan clients can enjoy gel manicures too! Just like with regular nail polish, gel formulas can sometimes contain animal-derived ingredients, but there are a number of vegan and cruelty-free gel polishes out there for you to choose from for your clients… Glossify Gel Polish Remember, it’s not just vegan nail polish; you must provide manicures to vegan clients. You’ll need to ensure that your nail polish remover and other nail care products, such as hand cream and cuticle oil, are vegan – we’ll list some of these in the next section. Using our salon hygiene products, you can ensure your vegan sanitising products. UK mainland only. Surcharges apply to the following locations The Channel Islands & Isles of Scilly

When will data be processed?

No, Gellux cannot be used to extend a nail on its own. It is too flexible and does not have the strength necessary for extensions. To extend the nails first use Gellux Hard Gel or Acrylux and finish with Gellux Gel Polish system for long lasting colour and shine. How long does Gellux Gel Polish take to remove? Apply colour or top coat– wipe the nail clean again, and apply your top coat. If your client wants a different colour, paint on your gel polish and cure again first. As a nail technician, you will probably have your own favourite to work with, too. Acrylic hardens within a few minutes without the need for a lamp, while builder gel stays wet until cured under UV or LED light. Some nail techs love the flexibility and control builder gel gives them, as they can continue to move the product around as much as they like, then cure them in seconds when they are happy. If your nail polish has a logo from a recognised body such as The Vegan Society or is certified Peta-Approved, it is vegan and cruelty-free. This means that it has no animal-derived ingredients and has not been tested on animals – making it perfect for vegan clients! So, if a nail polish is vegan, does that also mean it is cruelty-free? The term ‘cruelty-free’ means that the product has not been tested on animals. It is most often certified by the ‘Leaping Bunny’ logo. However, be aware that if a product describes itself as simply ‘cruelty-free’, it does not mean for sure that it is vegan, and vice versa.
