I tested this earlier this morning (it's now at chemist warehouse for the Aussies) and I am irrationally annoyed at how unimpressive this is. Got this from my partner, with the hopes that it would embody the initial fantasy fragrance, and I was sadly mistaken. Even though the fragrance notes state that it includes a cup cake note, I don’t get any of the sweetness of the original Fantasy perfume. Maybe I'm also not a fan because I was obsessed with berry fragrances for a couple of years so Festive smells similar to half a dozen fragrances I've worn before. At first spray I can smell the original Midnight Fantasy (but a little bit lighter), due to the plum and sour cherry.

People always compliment me saying my hair smells good, because this fragrance smells like shampoo in the best way possible. There is some feminine violet and heliotrope and a musk in the base, but predominantly this perfume is all about the red berries. The opening blast is very strong nose-burning alcohol, but if you can get past that, it is very feminine and delightful.I kinda love the dry down though and, in my experience, I’d much rather hate the top and love the bottom than the reverse! To my surprise, the dry down was fresh and floral (almost like potpourri) unlike Fantasy which still had that sweet cotton candy smell in the end. Midnight Fantasy reminds me of my early teens but even as I'm approaching 25 I like this scent a lot and don't think it's too juvenile at all.

Unless I have turned nose-blind to it, which is possible (my poor dog, lolsob), this dries down to a skin scent pretty quickly. If you like gourmands with out smelling like literal food and have a taste for sweet fragrances give this a try it will not break the bank and you will smell amazing! I think it’s good but nothing special BUT my guy workmate likes it so much and even tho I don’t really go near him he said that he can smell it when i walked past by him. Are the foreign releases just a way to burn off the rest of the contract so Britney can be 100% clear?All I smell when I first spray this is watermelon or some type of melon scent that lingers for the first 5-10 minutes. I would say its a blend of Fantasy and Midnight, but doesnt have the strong plum fruity overtone like Midnight. I just purchased this and I have to say it’s definitely got the signature strength I’ve come to expect from Fantasy.
