Jade and Prescott are recurring characters in the series, and ever since the novella that previewed their relationship came out, I've been looking forward to their story! But when we get her POV that's when you really really get to see and read what she actually went through. And if you thought the first book was tugging on your heart strings, just wait until you read this one. I went reading this book prepared for all the emotions I will go through; this book is angst filled.

Or, at least, the start of it, since this is book one in the “Kiss to Shatter” / “Kiss to Salvage” duet, which is still apart of the Blairwood University series. This book is a part of this author’s Blairwood University series and their duet can be read as a standalone ,but I high recommend the other books as they are phenomenal.I really enjoyed this story from start to finish though I did spend a lot of time wishing that jade would take certain things more seriously than she did. Kiss to Shatter is a brothers best friend, enemies to lovers romance with alot of steam and alot of emotion. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. I love enemies-to-lovers romance (extra emphasis on the enemies in this one), so combine that with the forbidden aspect of a brother’s best friend romance, and I’m all over it.

Again not trying to be biased because it’s an ARC but please stop reading my review and go get this book when it launches. Jade is still very much affected by the death of her mother, and Prescott is hiding secrets about his family. But happiness doesn’t come easily and Jade and Prescott both deal with so much and I just wanted to give them a hug or do anything to take away a bit of their pain. This book picks up right where the last book left off, and after that cliffhanger I am so glad it did! What I love more about this book is that the main characters are dealing with different situations, we get to see how they face it and I wonder how can they survive it as the story progress.There is so much angst and emotion within these pages, and the demons this couple faces is not for the faint of heart. He has a lot more going on than his past injury that still hurts him as well, his own demons haunting his dreams. There is nothing better than some enemies to lovers banter and tension, and boy did they have it which gives us the perfect kind of spice🔥. Upon learning about Jade’s condition, he again felt that he was responsible, and he couldn’t live through it.

Prescott and Jade hate each other, or that's what they think, cause the reality it's that these two are more similar than they think they are.
