Power Cords (add-on accessory) provide for a wider range of resistance options at any incline settingI have had my Vasa Erg for over 10 years. It has allowed me to train for and complete 5 Ironmans and 12 Halfs. I am not a swimmer, I did not learn to swim until my late 30’s, and it is not my favourite part of a triathlon. I also have limited training time in a week and poor access to a pool. Usually a pool session takes 2.5 hours when I include a 30-40 minute drive each way! No one thinks twice about throwing down a bike workout on their trainer, or a run workout on a treadmill. I view the Vasa the same way, basically a necessity! For my last Ironman I used the Vasa for all my swim training, then did about 3 open water sessions to get used to the wetsuit again. Surprisingly, my swim time was the same as my previous 2 Ironmans, but, I was able to focus more on my bike and run with the time I saved and this allowed me to post my best Ironman time by over 40 minutes!! I am pretty happy with that. I will continue to use my Vasa for swim training as it is so convenient. I have also started to use it for some kayak training for adventure racing. Fantastic! Love the Vasa Erg! You select a training session at your own level on the DMX Advanced controller. The underwater lights turn white, you now have one minute to take your starting position. You are in the water, about 2.5 meters from the machine… you are ready to go. The lights turn red and the machine switches on. You start with an endurance exercise at a medium pace. You swim against the current. The current is stable and strong, without splashing water. It feels like you are swimming in a 25-meter pool. The underwater lighting guides you through the training. Each exercise is built up in three parts; you start the exercise with red light, after one third the light turns green, and you end the exercise with blue light. The changing light colours give you orientation within the exercise and also motivate you. Are the lamps turning blue? You know you are almost there, you just take it a step further! Rest breaks are also built into every exercise. The lamps colour white, the EVAstream is turned off, you can catch your breath. After an endurance exercise at a fixed pace, an exercise with progressive speed and a series of sprints, the cool down follows. You have finished your training.” The Endless Pools Fastlane hangs from the side of the pool much as a pool ladder does, and like a pool ladder can be incorporated into virtually any existing swimming pool, so, if you're looking for a DIY swimming machine, this could be the system for you. The counter current system has two parts: a remotely located hydraulic Power Unit that powers the swim current and the stainless steel Fastlane Swim Unit that mounts poolside. These components are connected by two 1/2" inside diameter hydraulic hoses designed to keep electricity far away from the water. After years in the gym, you learn or can tell when something is working for you, even before you can prove it with results. My reaction to the Trainer went “that way”. I could tell it was “working” for me within two weeks of getting it. Maybe the benefits are more specific to me because I suffered so much nerve damage as a toddler — but I found that I was able to fine tune the work I was doing on the Trainer very easily, and do it better than any Lat Machine, Chinning Machine or Pulleys/Cable Crossover Machine I have used. Padded Bench:Pro Anatomic Tapered; 11.5″ – 13.5″ (W) × 35.5″ (L) (Users over 6’ may require the XL Bench upgrade.)

Counter current swimming machines made their appearance in the 1970s. The world's first swimming machine was completed in the Sportforum Hohenschönhausen in East Berlin in 1976. It was used by the top athletes of East Germany. [2] [3] Initially, swimming machines were made in the form of pump-driven jetted streams, but received criticism since they created turbulence and an unnatural swimming environment. They were followed up in the 1980s by a propeller-and paddle-wheel-driven machines. These provided a smoother stream of water, thus a more natural swimming experience, and were more popular among consumers. The Fastlane Pro turns your pool into a brand new playground for a summer full of fun. It also makes kids enthusiastic swimmers while providing a safe and creative play environment.

These components are connected by two 1/2" inside diameter hydraulic hoses designed to keep electricity far away from the water.

The EVAstream swim current machine is a versatile swimming machine that will turn any home pool into an attractive water attraction and a professional training facility. This unit simulates the flow of water in a 25-meter swimming pool. The high-speed flow produces a greater water displacement than conventional swimming pools, and the machine allows swimmers to move further away from the machine without hitting the wall. The EVAstream also offers a full training program, including endurance sessions, intervals, and sprints. In addition to the training program, the EVAstream comes with a Piezo3 control unit and 3 pre-programmed workout sessions. The Vasa SwimErg with the bench and support beam allow the user to be positioned centrally, in a good horizontal position and to assess their movements with ease. Watching what the hands and arms are doing at the various stages of the “underwater” phase as well as being able to see the display (showing time, distance, stroke rate, etc), allows the special awareness and movement co-ordination that is very often impossible in the water. The ability to adjust the fan to allows us to prescribe essentially the same kind of sessions we would in pool sessions with both aerobic and strength-based sets, reps and rest periods. In the 1980s, Monarch Spas developed the dual-zone swim spa, allowing the pumps and other equipment needed for the pool to also power a separate spa. One advantage of the modern dual-zone system is the ability to set different temperatures and use different chemicals in each pool area. The hot tub section can utilize bromine and provide a relaxing and therapeutic experience, while the swim zone can be kept cool for strenuous exercise using chlorine. The Fastlane turns your pool into a brand new playground for a summer full of fun.." it also makes kids enthusiastic swimmers while providing a safe and creative play environment. An ExerSwim T&R swim current machine is designed for rehab and therapy purposes. It features variable resistance and is designed for flexible, aquatic workouts. Its ergonomic design makes it simple to install and remove. It can also be used for other types of fitness activities. It can be recharged in a standard 15-amp 110-volt outlet. It can be wheeled up to the pool edge and placed in the water. Remco SwimJet
