The build quality and the premium materials combined with the stainless steel heptagonal 48 mm burrs used are unexpectedly high for the price point. Again, the external adjustment is truly a blessing, and the numerous dial settings adjustments (60 per round) make the K6 a very versatile grinder for a wide range of coffee brewing methods. The K6 Burrs: Adjustment And Quality

The external adjustment mechanism makes it easy to switch from a coarser pour-over setting to a finer espresso grind without breaking a sweat. The three bearings ensure that even at finer settings, the grind remains consistent, without any noticeable wobble in the burrs. Burrs and Grind Performance Espresso is the place the KINGridner K6 excels, in my view. Not solely does the aspect grind adjustment make dialing in your espresso tremendous simple, however the high quality of the bottom espresso can be phenomenal, particularly for a hand grinder priced so modestly. Having this a lot management over your grind settings makes the K6 really versatile and ideal for on a regular basis pour-over or espresso brewing.Impressively fast. For my double-shot espresso basket, it takes me around 35 to 40 seconds to grind 18g of fine coffee (number 40 or 39 on the K6 adjustment dial).

Having this much adjustment and paired with it's filter - espresso capabilities makes this an incredibly versatile grinder. Finally, the zero setting for the burrs and the zero on the exterior dial will not likely match and they can't be calibrated to match like the K Max can, I assume. It’s not stained and clear coated like the higher-end 1Zpressos, and it’s strange why KINGrinder decided to leave it as natural wood, especially when you are working around water and probably have damp hands. It’s a grinder that delivers on multiple fronts without breaking the bank, making it an excellent value proposition for those who are serious about their coffee but mindful of their budget. I especially liked this setup, other manual grinders I own have the adjustment dial underneath the burrs.

FIT AND FINISH - When you're holding both grinders in your hand, it's easily noticable that the 1Z is the higher quality item. Everything fits together perfectly, the numbers on the adjustment ring are engraved - rather than laminated on, the machining and coating both feel very well done. Comparing the KINGrinder K6 to other manual hand grinders like 1Zpresso or Comandante C40 with similar internal components, the K6 comes in at about a ⅓ of the price. And with the K6, you’ve as much as 3 full rotations for a complete of 180 settings from tremendous advantageous to very coarse. Hey all, after some time with the KINGrinder K6, a 48mm conical hand grinder that is supposed to mimic the 1zpresso line, I'm looking forward to upgrading. I drink mainly pour-overs, Moka pot, and Aeropress, and in the future (let's say 1-2 years from now) I plan on getting into the espresso world. I thought I would share my thoughts after a few months of using an 1Zpresso K-Max and Kingrinder K4 side by side pretty well daily, as there are some very noticeable similarities between these two grinders. They are not meant to produce similar grind profiles, so the comparison is more about user experience and build quality rather than coffee produced. These are both part of the brand's "premium" lineups, so I figure they're fair to compare.
