Description

Chart patterns are the basics behind most trading methods, and this book is a great achievement in a highly useful format. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

It puts you in the passengers seat so you can share lessons learned from Bulkowski's trades This edition reports on statistics from nearly four times the number of samples used in the Second Edition and ten times the number in the First Edition The Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns, Third Edition further solidifies the reputation of this book as the leading reference on chart patterns, setting it far above the competition. He enjoys writing fiction, chasing cars with his bicycle, watching flowers bloom in his gardens, woodworking, photography, and reading. The key difference between this and other chart pattern books is that the findings are supported by empirical testing -they are not just someone's opinion. It would have also been very useful to have patterns grouped according to their formation time periods where they could have added tabs, colours, finger indentations or the like to open the book without be required to look at the visual chart pattern index at the back of the book or the table of contents for page references. Bulkowski has taken an intelligent and thoughtful approach to producing a practical guide to understanding and trading chart formations. Personally I have always found it difficult to see chart patterns, so this defines them in a useful way.

Within the pages of this book, you ll learn how to identify chart patterns, supported by easy-to-understand performance statistics describing how well a pattern works, what the failure rate is, and what special quirks suggest better future performance. He is not an expert on pattern formation but in software and unfortunately has identified patterns mainly by programme and with poor results. The Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns, Third Edition further solidifies the reputation of this book as the leading reference on chart patterns, setting it far above the competition.Really the only gripe that I could even potentially see is that it would be a lot nicer to have the pertinent Size Statistics information like the very important Average Formation Length stats directly out front on the first page with the title of each pattern. Excellent book, well worth the money and would highly recommend to anyone trading in not only crypto, but any market. Written by a leading expert on chart patterns, Tom Bulkowski, this edition includes revised statistics on 75 chart patterns including 23 new ones, with pictures and performance statistics, packaged within easy-to-read text. Bulkowski even starts the book off with useful novice and intermediate information and tips and tricks for all, like what chart horizon time frames can these patterns be used for.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Though I have not checked the validity just yet, either way, this book is a great leap forward into a proper quantitative basis in the securities markets. Pattern recognition is crucial, and knowing which patterns work best, and under what conditions is essential knowledge.Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns, Third Edition expands upon Bulkowski's immensely popular Second Edition with fully revised and updated material on chart patterns. In addition the period covered was limited to five years only, and that in a market that was almost entirely bullish.
