Some people prefer to call this recipe an Irish coffee creamer shooter instead, but either way you choose to refer to it doesn’t really matter; we’re sure everyone will be too busy enjoying themselves and having fun Baby Guinness Shot Calories Tia Maria is a coffee liqueur hailing from Jamaica. It’s a strong drink that has a very sweet and unique flavor. What Is Kahlua? A Baby Guinness is a shot that resembles the look of a regular pint of Guinness but in a miniature version. It's made of only two ingredients - coffee-flavored liqueur that imitates the dark stout beer and Irish Cream -the replacement for the foamy top. The coffee creamer and milk combine to create a sort of hazelnut flavor that is surprisingly delicious! How To Make A Baby Guinness Shot

Why You Should Make A Baby Guinness Shot For Your Next Party?

Here are some questions that often arise when I talk about this shot recipe. What does a baby Guinness shot taste like? Pour the coffee liqueur into the shot glass. (It should fill the glass about three-fourths of the way. You can use either Kahlua or Tia Maria (or another coffee liqueur for your shot). Tia Maria has a slightly sweeter taste than Kahlua. Why Is it called A Baby Guinness Shot? And with that, I think you’re ready to serve some of these baby Guinness shots. If you do, I’d love to hear all about them. Let me know what everyone thought! A Baby Guinness Shot is a shot, or shooter, that looks just like a tiny glass of Guinness (or other stout beer). Despite the name, the shot contains no actual Guinness!

And this goes without saying (but I’m going to say it anyway), please drink responsibly. What is a Baby Guinness Shot? Well, I believe they are called such because when poured, these shots look like a glass of Guinness. The coffee liqueur is the base of the shot that gives it the deep rich brown color of Guinness. A layer of Irish cream, which is a soft creamy tan color, floats on top creating the “foamy head” of the beer. It’s pretty clever and really tasty! This shot is called a Baby Guinness simply because it looks like the miniaturized version of a glass of Guinness which is of course, a famous Irish stout.

Why Is it called A Baby Guinness Shot?

Irish cream liqueur: Irish cream is made with Irish whiskey, cream, and other flavorings. Bailey's is probably the most popular version, at least in the U.S. As a lover of all things Costco, I used the Kirkland brand of Irish cream 😉 I hope you’ll try makes these baby Guinness shots. If you do, please leave a comment and a 5-star rating below. The baby Guinness shot tastes very sweet, but if you’re expecting a beer taste then you will be disappointed. They tasted delicious. A lot of shot recipes are pretty terrible. This one is actually quite delicious and really easy to drink. Yes, of course! In fact, as I mentioned above, I really like the salted caramel Baileys, so that’s what I used. Both of these brands typically have seasonal flavors, so have fun creating something unique! Where did you get the mini beer shot glasses?

Of course, not everything went according to plan – the courier left the glasses on the doorstep, in full view of the street. But hey, at least they were still intact! Serve with Desserts: Pair these delightful shots with your favorite desserts to create a harmonious and indulgent experience. Peanut butter desserts, raspberry brownies, or even a rich cheesecake are excellent choices to complement the flavors. As you I can see, these shots aren’t just delicious; they also spark joy and curiosity. Your friends and family will be amazed at how closely they resemble the iconic Guinness beer, only tinier. Not overly strong compared to most shots. Kahlua is only 20% alcohol by volume, and Bailey’s is even less at 17%. Do You Have To Use Kahlua and Bailey’s? Making this recipe requires only two ingredients: Irish cream and Coffee liqueur such as Tia Maria or Kahlua.

For making a Baby Guinness Shot, Tia Maria is my preferred choice. It tastes less sweet, is better balanced, and overall smoother than Kahlúa. When first looking at the Baby Guinness Shot, one could think it actually contains the classic dark stout from the world-renowned Irish brewery.

Hold a teaspoon above the shot glass at an angle, and very slowly pour on the Irish cream liqueur. You want to go very slowly with this process. Pouring slowly and using the spoon will allow this to later “float” on top of the coffee liqueur which will create the look of a real Guinness beer. Garnish with Creativity: While Baby Guinness Shots are charming on their own, you can take them to the next level with creative garnishes. Try adding a sprinkle of cocoa powder on top or a tiny espresso bean to complement the coffee liqueur. The Baby Guinness shot is a fairly low-calorie drink, as it only contains about 130 calories per serving.

More Fun Shot and Shooter Recipes

This Baby Guinness Shot is made with coffee and Irish cream liqueurs, and looks just like a tiny glass of Guinness stout! The coffee liqueur mimics the color of stout beer, while the Irish cream liqueur mimics the foam, or "head", on top of the beer. Super cute, right? The latter is a popular liqueur based on Irish Whiskey, cream, and additional flavorings. It usually contains 15-20% Alcohol By Volume (ABV) and was first produced in Dublin, Ireland, in 1973. Chill Your Liqueurs: For the best results, make sure to chill your Irish cream and coffee liqueur before assembling the shots. Chilled liqueurs will create a cleaner separation of layers and enhance the visual appeal of the shot.
