With four tie-down points and a molded fish measuring ruler, as well as class-leading performance and durable construction, the Igloo BMX 25 cool box is a great compact solution for angling and fishing trips. Overall, we found the Igloo insulation to be pretty good for its size and are quite impressed with its performance in our insulation tests.

I also think rotomolded is a better choice if you’re planning on taking your cooler on a lot of adventures—rotomolded coolers can withstand tougher treatment.

The contents of the Igloo rose above 50 degrees at 78 hours, so there’s a good chance you’ll have frosty beers through your entire three-day weekend with this cooler. The rotationally molded construction, extra-large hinges, reinforced bottom and corner protection ensure that this army green with black cooler can withstand the roughest conditions.

Most of the positive reviews focus on the fact that the cooler does a solid job insulating and doesn’t cost too much. Its angled shape also facilitates different styles of grabbing from the single hand in the middle to double hands on either side or even hooking one end over the elbow. The BMX cool box is very suitable for, for example, for a construction works site, on a boat, during sporting events, or for camping. Our only real complaint is that the rubber latches catch against your leg if you forget and carry it the wrong way around, which is easily solved by flipping the cooler 180 degrees. The Igloo BMX 25 can hold 15 pounds of ice total, but I recommend only adding 5-7 pounds to allow for other contents.
