So, anything that means something to you and is very specific and is something that you can actually do… I find for some people something like clarity is actually really useful. Everyone wants to be able to face challenging situations without feeling daunted, intimidated or stressed. It's really interesting listening to you reflect in that way, because if I think about when I have been able to kind of retain the Happy High Status, it was because, you know, maybe I wasn't dealing with that person every day, so it was more occasional, so I could sort of cope with that, and generally the rest of my life was going well.

And when I dig into that, they're very often talking about somebody who is a narcissist of some kind.And for me, I found that much more helpful as a starting point as then thinking, "Well, if that's what I'm trying to achieve, what does that mean then in terms of what I might do and how I show up? Viv Groskop: It is a great privilege and I feel like I'm a very squiggly person, so I'm always happy to squiggle again. I’ve always felt that we all really know already what we should be doing in terms of presenting, speaking and showing ourselves in our best light. Or acquaintances who I might have looked forward to seeing often in 2020 and 2021, but who have moved on and whom I’ll probably never see again.

Or, what if this amazing thing is just the start, or it's a pivot, or it's not going to turn out to be so amazing, but then you can course-correct.Happy High Status is less about what you do to own the room and more about what’s going on inside you.
