I saw a video where someone tested the pressure needed to pull the clamp through, mdf failed, but ply and hardwood was good. They provided an excellent and friendly service as per usual (I genuinely can't recommend this company enough! Also a screw kit is included for mounting the dovetail clamp direct on the top of the handle of all BRESSER Messier und EXPLORE-SCIENTIFIC telescopes.

This clamp is very similar in appearance (apart from being black not silver) and layout to the existing TS one that I have been using.
