For these reasons, we recommend these grips for anyone looking for a more comfortable way to work out with their weights, and anyone who suffers from the shoulder, wrist, or arm injuries but still wishes to lift weights.

The last option is called the “forearm” option. This occurs when you place your ring or index finger between the strap on the “ergonomic finger cavity” (a small loop on the strap). This makes it more difficult to grip the handle, but as the name suggests, it increases grip strength. Angles90 Are Inexpensive And Enjoyable to Use As we all adjust to “the new normal” that is life, people worldwide are finding new and creative ways to stay safe while still enjoying the normalcy of everyday activities. Hitting the gym is certainly no exception. Due to the fact Angles90 is a patented design, there are no true alternatives (because no other company could legally launch a grip handle with the same shape and features).By forcing you to use proper gripping techniques, the Angles90 is a fantastic way to help you improve your form and prevent injury during workouts.

The movement that involves the most risk for injuring the shoulder is a combination of internal rotation and elevation. Fat Gripz are another popular grip attachment (and featured in our list of useful forearm equipment and tools). Although they help improve grip strength like Angles90, the two products aren’t very comparable and we see their benefits largely targeting different audiences. Being friendlier on joints isn’t just a buzzword… this can literally be the difference between feeling like you are able to do resistance training or not. Looking for a new workout to try with your Angles90 grips? Here are a couple of exercises you may want to consider integrating into your fitness routine:

Replace cable-, lat- and even rowing-machines!

The same can be done on a barbell. If you don’t want to buy a trap bar, but still want to do neutral grip deadlifts or shrugs, attach Angles90 to the barbell evenly, and start pulling. Of course, it’s not the same as a trap bar due to the weight still being in front of your shins, but it will vary the movement from a traditional deadlift. One thing I’ve enjoyed doing is attaching the handles to kettlebells for farmer carries and shrugs.

Fat Gripz attaches to bars (usually barbells) to make the bar wider… making it harder to grip, which subsequently helps you improve your grip strength. But, you still need to opt for a fixed grip and can’t benefit from any sort of rotation. Allowing the joints to move freely and basically move how they want to, reduces potential discomfort and pain in these areas. Joint Friendly Angles90 are a simple, yet highly effective set of handles that are purported to increase the range of motion and require more body tension during various pulling workouts. After using them for a few months to conduct our Angles 90 Grips review, we can confidently recommend these for all sorts of movements like deadlifts, shrugs, rows, pull-ups, and more.

Angles90 Grips

It means we can focus on muscle activation instead of worrying about shoulder, elbow or wrist pain/discomfort. FOREARM: Instead of your middle finger, put your ring finger through the strap to increase the difficulty of gripping the handle. In this way, your forearms work harder. This is partly because you reduce the risk of damaging your muscles and increase body tension when you use proper techniques for gripping. Finally, our handles got patented and were ready to be launched in March 2018. Since then we have reached quite a few milestones.

Repeat steps 1-5 to secure the second handle. They should be equal to about shoulder-width distance apart. If you’re like me, you have quite a few different weights in your garage gym: barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, lat bars, pull-up bars, cable handles, etc. All of these were chosen for a reason and I enjoy their functionality. However, there’s really no way to reshape these types of equipment. What you see is what you get, which is pretty much always a straight and fixed horizontal bar. The ability to change your grip position with the Angles90 Grips, something you can’t do with a fixed handle, also allows you to target different muscles (different grips activate different muscle groups). This can result in increased muscle growth and strength. Angles90 Grips vs. Fat Gripz The straps are very thin so do not feel happy hanging off them or lifting and [sic] decent weight,” reviewer Tony Robinson wrote. Final Verdict of Our Angles90 Grips ReviewFirst, make sure your pullup bar is positioned at the correct height and choose a gripping style (ergo, power, etc.) to grab hold of your handles.
