The story is primarily seen through the narrative of Liz whose husband has been killed during a getaway with her best friends.

Part of me wishes I had never opened my husband’s bag this morning, the one he took to Villa Rosa, the Italian villa where we spent his final weekend with these three women and their families. Arriving on the Amalfi Coast for a weekend of fun in a luxury villa, seven people become embroiled in secrets, lies, betrayal, revenge and chaos before ultimately someone is murdered. My children, Ethan and Josh, are downstairs looking younger than their eleven and nine years, upright and silent in their formal clothes. The start was a little difficult to get into, you’re immediately introduced to a lot of names connected to one another and constantly having to remind yourself who is who. Her character started the movie with the stupidest action, but unlike a lot of other Lifetime "heroines," it didn't take her the whole movie to realize her mistake and own up to it.Other than those aforementioned flaws, it was an okay/fair movie - not horrible in the least like so many LMN turkeys before it.

You really have to suspend ALL disbelief with this one, because there is no semblance to reality here, no logic or rational explanations for why the characters do the things they do. Given the little reviews the book had I didn’t really know what to expect- so I thought why not go and read it myself, enjoy the journey it takes me on.

Some descriptions of characters’ feelings or thoughts were repetitive and needed more ‘show’ not ‘tell. It sounds like a dangerous game (and probably would be at a later stage of a relationship) but back then we were so secure in our love and attraction for each other that it felt perfectly safe.
