The main event is still the models, though, and this set includes the real deal; two filled-out starter forces that’ll have you playing full-size, full-length tabletop battles, with nothing snipped or truncated for lack of models or complexity. If you are only interested in dipping your toes in the most shallow part of the pool, this is the Age of Sigmar starter set for you. If you’re the type of player who wants to test things out before jumping head-on, Strom Strike is an excellent option. Relying on spellcasting and schemes, the Disciples can truly make the battle difficult for your foes. The starter boxes are all based around Stormcast chambers so your collection will often begin with a focus on certain chamber but you have a lot of options to expand from there.

A superstar army in the recent Age of Sigmar edition, the Seraphon offers a wide range of playstyles and unit combinations. As you delve deep in the hobby, you should consider getting advanced sets or – at least – try upgrading your current Storm Strike units. All of the models have excellent details, and you’ll even get a strong kit value with the Commander Collection.
