When Vlad's recount of his banishment in seen, he is shown watching the Disasteroid pass through an intangible earth from a distance. The author did a great job at fixing certain things regarding the series finale in this book, and gave us conclusions/resolved stuff that go left unanswered in the series. This is most likely bought for nostalgia buffs and I guess there are some who showed the original show to their kids.
