I’m sure I speak for many others when I say it’s always fun getting domestic scenes of our favorite duos. I laughed so hard and so often throughout this short little book, because his wit absolutely shines here.

Mysteries of Thorn Manor depicts so much domestic bliss that we really get a chance to see how silly and playful he is with Elisabeth on a daily basis, and it's delightful. As the group works to uncover the cause and a means to appease the wards, they discover hidden rooms containing secrets and get into some hilarious situations. i loved how it’s more of a character focused novella and i was so happy to be back in this world with Elisabeth, Nathaniel and Silas. Surely it must be a coincidence that this happened just as Nathaniel and Elisabeth started getting closer to one another . I’m gonna be honest, before I started reading this, I didn’t really remember much from the previous book so I did have to read a couple summaries I found online, but after I started remembering who the characters were and what had happened, I was so happy to be back into this world.It felt so genuine, like looking into a real, breathing romance between two goofy best friends, and I adored it. When I die in pursuit of your favor, make sure the obituary mentions that it wasn’t for my lack of razor-sharp wit and keenly honed reflexes. I really liked Sorcery of Thorns when I first read it, so the moment I picked this up I knew that I was going to love it and that I would love seeing what happened to these characters I loved. Elisabeth is just a really good character and i really hope we continue to see more adventures with her and this crew (and demonslayer)! Elisabeth and Nathaniel are just as sweet and perfect for each other, but they confront insecurities and vulnerabilities that bring them closer.

Let me start this review by saying I absolutely cannot believe it’s been more than three years since Sorcery of Thorns came out!This is the kind of sequel novella that you wish every one of your favourite books could have - low stakes,. The plot is secondary in this novella, it’s all about cuteness, funny moments, and an overall heartwarming feeling. This is my type of fan service; it adds to the story without turning it into something other than what it previously was. He does so much for both of them and he will help them with anything even if they don’t ask for his help.

These are some of my favourite characters (from one of my favourite books) and by the end of Sorcery it was incredibly clear that, regardless of romance, this is a trio and they all love each other deeply.
