Description

This is the most famous version of the album for many reasons. But the most important is because it has insane sound quality.

Right now my votes goes to "Allied pressing" but if you find this pressing, get a copy soon. Is much cheaper than the "Allied" Pressing and you get the same sound quality. It's a bargain.Holmes, Tim (June 5, 1986). "Master of Puppets". Rolling Stone. Archived from the original on June 14, 2012 . Retrieved June 3, 2012. McIver, Joel (2005). Dimery, Robert (ed.). 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (1sted.). Universe Publishing. p.548. ISBN 978-0-7893-1371-3. Anyway this version of the album it sound pretty good without many issues but compare it with some other versions of the album and also with the other "DMM" versions, it's little weak. The sound of the music it's not so loud with explosion like some other "DMM" vinyl pressings of my list. Also you can heard many distortions here and there in the whole songs and specially in the last song in each side. The syncopated riffing of "Leper Messiah" challenges the hypocrisy of the televangelism that emerged in the 1980s. The song describes how people are willingly turned into blind religious followers who mindlessly do whatever they are told. [31] The 136 beats per minute mid-tempo riffing of the verses culminates in a descending chromatic riff in the chorus; it increases to a galloping 184 beats per minute for the middle section that climaxes in a distorted scream of "Lie!". [26] The title derives from the lyrics to the David Bowie song " Ziggy Stardust". [8]

Elektra Allied Press (this one). The 2nd best version of the album. Insane brightness, explosion and very sharp sound. Vertigo Europe 2001 Reissue: One of the most serious vinyl pressings of the album. You can get amazing power and quality here with minimun IGD in the last song of each side and without any surface noise. The instruments they sound very powerful and the music has big explosion. If you can, get this pressing because it's outstanding in my opinion. Very cheap at the momment and very balance sound. The cut on this vinyl was amazing. James Hetfield – vocals, rhythm guitar, 1st guitar solo on "Master of Puppets", 2nd guitar solo on "Orion" So i will review the best copy here. This vinyl it sound pretty good and it's one of the best versions of the album i have listen to. The version has big bass and this specific album needs that and also has very big depth and atmopshere. Here you can get amazing explosion and power and it's very rare for one vinyl that was made in the ordinary method and not with "DM" Mastering. Almost all my copies that have ordinary cutting method, they sounded bad but not in "Roadrunner" case. "Roadrunner" did amazing work on the first three "Metallica" albums. "MFN" has failed very bad to made one decent original version of the album but "Roadrunner" not in my opinion. But if I must find one bad thing here that make this edition to get only the 6 place, is that the sound and especially the guitars are a bit muffled and not sharp and bright.Universal "Louder Faster Heavier" 45 RPM 08 Press. This pressing must be one of the worst pressing of the world. The album it sound very mechanic without realistic guitars and instruments. Also the press is very bad and you listen many noises and sound deformations all over the place. Surely one mp3 can sound miles better than this pressing. In the beginning i did't like that much this "Rhino" version but after a few more listenings i changed my mind a little bit. Don't get me wrong. I still believe this is not the best version of the album but i must to admit that is a High Quality release and it deserves your attention. Metallica's Hetfield And Ulrich Discuss Importance Of 'Master Of Puppets' ". Blabbermouth.net. August 31, 2006 . Retrieved July 31, 2013. This reissue is one of the most famous versions of the album. Many people get these 80s "Metallica" albums from the "Vertigo" 1989 reissues. But today it's a decent version of the album to get or not? Before some time ago i believed any pressing of the original album must sound almost the same but i was wrong. And you can find this information only if you get many pressings for each album out there.

Retrieved July 29, 2013.Closing, it has the most noticiable bass and the most natural drums you can find. And it's the most brighter version too. The "Allied and Specialty" pressings have more punchy sound but also and more noisy and this one has more natural sound with amazing atmosphere and depth. Also the aggression is unbelivable. Do not miss this pressing. a b Pareles, Jon (July 10, 1988). "Heavy Metal, Weighty Words". The New York Times . Retrieved July 27, 2013. This pressing it sound very similar to the "MFN 1st pressing". You can heard the same things. The music is quiet mastered and you get the same dead sound without explosion or any brightness. Also the instruments are very weak and barely come out from your speakers. You can feel the same things and in the 1st "France" pressing of "Ride the Lightning" that was pressed by "MPO". So yeah i want to stay away from these mastering plants. Original Master of Puppets Artwork Up for Auction". Guitar World. October 29, 2008 . Retrieved July 30, 2013.
