Description

Warriors (also known as Warrior Cats) is a series of novels based on the adventures and drama of multiple Clans of feral cats. The series is primarily set in fictional forests. Published by HarperCollins, the series is written by authors Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry, as well as others, under the collective pseudonym Erin Hunter. The concept and plot of the pilot series were developed by series editor, Victoria Holmes. The A Starless Clan covers thus far This eighth arc takes place three moons after The Broken Code. It continues the trend of having three protagonists in different Clans, but is the first to feature a RiverClan point of view with Frostpaw; Sunbeam of ShadowClan and Flamepaw of ThunderClan are the other protagonists. The Story Team wanted to hear from a young RiverClan member during "a moment of serious upheaval" when "major decisions could fall into the paws of an apprentice, who isn't at all sure she is ready for that level of responsibility." [19] This arc does not feature Barnes and Noble exclusive chapters, nor does it open with a prophecy from StarClan. The books feature an unique naming system with each book referring to one of the five Clans. Cats who live outside of the Clans are categorized into three groups: housecats, referred to as "kittypets" by Clan cats, who are looked down upon for their cozy and lazy lifestyle; "loners", who are cats who live outside of the Clans, usually by themselves; and "rogues", cats who live on their own and intend to do harm to the Clans. In some instances, stray cats may form large groups of their own. It is rare for a stray cat to join a Clan, as outsiders are generally distrusted and scorned by Clan cats. There is a famous death in the fan community that occured in this book, something which I was aware of before I even began this series. And maybe I built it up too much, but my goodness was it a rushed death!!! It happened in the blink of an eye and felt absolutely pointless, like the Erins had no way of fixing the problems Hollyleaf was suffering from so they felt they had no choice but to just... kill her? Or was it the other way around - because she 'needs to die' for the sake of the plot, as we all know, was it that they struggled to find a believable way to kill her off and failed anyway? Make it make sense! Warriors #4: Rising Storm by Erin Hunter (Hardcover)". HarperCollins. Archived from the original on 21 October 2012 . Retrieved 8 August 2010.

Please be sure that you have read the book before reading this review. I don't want to spoil anything for you in the following reflection ... There are currently eight sub-series, each containing six books: The Prophecies Begin, The New Prophecy, Power of Three, Omen of the Stars, Dawn of the Clans, A Vision of Shadows, The Broken Code, and A Starless Clan. Other books have been released in addition to the main series, including lengthier "Super Edition" novels, several novellas, seven guide books, and several volumes of English-language manga. The series has also been translated into several languages. I was happy then, before I knew the truth, she thought. But that life is over now." ―Hollyleaf Hollyleaf's Story, chapter 5

All in all, this was a bit above average Warriors book with plot elements we already know from the series: random travels, random deaths that serve no higher purpose and family’s arguing. Especially the plot around Sol felt like the plot around Brokenstar in season 1 aka all leaders are angry with ThunderClan because they took in some cats and the other Clans are threatening them. The other clans were overreacting to be honest, but oh well. Warriors: A Vision of Shadows #3: Shattered Sky - Erin Hunter - Hardcover". HarperCollins Publishers: World-Leading Book Publisher . The Warriors books are a hit with young readers, in part, because of the sprawling universe they open up. Into the Wild & Fire and Ice • Forest of Secrets & Rising Storm • A Dangerous Path & The Darkest Hour • Midnight & Moonrise • Dawn & Starlight • Twilight & Sunset The series was first released in 2003 and is created by Working Partners and Coolabi [1] and is published by HarperCollins [2] under the pen name Erin Hunter. Kate Cary [3] and Cherith Baldry [4] are the primary ghost writers, with Victoria Holmes formerly editing the overarching plot, and she, [5] Tui Sutherland, [6] Clarissa Hutton, [7] and Dan Jolley [8] working on supplementary material. The Rise of Scourge • A Shadow in RiverClan • Winds of Change • Exile from ShadowClan • A Thief in ThunderClan The writing was excellent, the characters believable, but the plot? I was disappointed in this last installment of Power of Three, reasons listed below: The Apprentice's Quest • Thunder and Shadow • Shattered Sky • Darkest Night • River of Fire • The Raging Storm They knew what Sol could do, so why did they still help him escape and trust him? That seems like not learning one's lesson to me.
