The bar itself is straight, with angled sides, which is common enough. The straight bar is for chin-ups, generally, with the angled sides being perfect for pull-ups. It’s also a fair bit sturdier than it feels. Though it can wobble, it has an impressive top user weight of 120 kg, meaning most athletes will be able to use it safely. At 214 cm tall, with a footprint of 60 x 106 cm, it’s also one of the most space-efficient models we’ve tested. What’s particularly impressive about this model is that it offers not three or four but eight different height levels ranging from 68.8-90.5 in. This makes it an excellent match for commercial gyms and also home gym setups. This model boasts a sturdy frame made from a 6cm heavy-duty steel tube to provide unmatched durability. It has a U-shaped base with skid-resistant feet, making the machine highly secure and stable irrespective of the weight and pressure you put on it. The PT300 calls itself a 7-in-1 Power Tower. Though it’s priced accordingly – this is not one of our budget options – they have built such a good piece of equipment here that you cannot begrudge them a bit of a stiff label.

If your room doesn’t offer a lot of free space then you should look for some more compact variations of the machine. What’s particularly noteworthy about this power tower is its ability to retain its strength and original shape even after prolonged and rough use.You can use it for everything above – pull-ups, dips, leg raises and so on. It also has push-up handles built into the base, which will make your push-ups far more comfortable on the wrists and a lot deeper, giving a better stretch and range of muscle recruitment through the pectorals. One more little detail that goes hand in hand with durability is how well are the different parts held together. What is the quality of the screws and how long are they?

As for your squats and bench press, there’s a decent 28 possible positions and it will take both standard and olympic barbells. This offering from VitalGym has a pull-up bar, off course, and is suitable for any home gym. However, there is a lot more to it than this. You get 2 x full length safety bars along with 2 x barbell stops. These can be set to any one of that have 21 levels of adjustment. There’s a nice, chunky pullup / chinup bar that runs along the top of the cage. There’s no storage on the side for your plates and no easy way to bolt the cage to the ground. Having said that, it doesn’t wobble and feels solid in use. Some of those exercises I come up with are shrugs, barbell rows and behind bicep curls. Because usually, the safety pins are a lot wider than the usual holding pins you would have to think about how and where exactly you are placing the bar. Extra Features: The only extra features I find interesting are the double-curved pull-up bar and the 2 extra stability bars. I really like the extra pull-up bar because it gives you more grip options and the curve helps you to better target your lats when you do wide-grip pull-ups. The extra stability bars are also a plus because they make the whole thing way more stable compared to some other models. So because of that, I’m going to give it a 7.5 out of 10 for extra features. I would have given it more if they offered some sort of handles to do dips and a resistance band attachment on the bottom side. They can be really handy for a lot of different things in spite of the problem they can be a little too short for some people. Now let’s look at a power tower – a piece of equipment that helps you to build upper body and core muscular strength. Also known as a knee raise station or a captain’s chair, it gives support for leg and knee raises, dips, pull-ups, chin-ups and push-ups, allowing for a full torso workout consisting of a full range of compound movements.

Almost any accessory you can think of either is or will be available with this power cage. The Rep PR-4000 has been making a lot of noise in the community, and for good reason—it’s a tremendous value. It will be suitable for the heaviest of athletes. It measures in at 65 cm wide, 109 cm deep and 223 cm tall, with a 110 cm wide pull-up bar. All of this combined means that, whilst it uses space economically, the BodyTrain Power Tower is suitable for even the largest, or heaviest of athletes.

SQUAT RACK & POWER RACK

I find those spots to be really useful because besides the obvious space-saving you can also use the plates for helping with the overall structural stability. The height of the bar is enough allowing most people to do pull-ups without any issues. For example, I’m an average height and can do pull-ups and chin-ups without any problems.

The 2 extra supports in combination with the U-shape design will make sure everything stays in one place even during your explosive type of training. Because of the light frame ( 63.5 lbs) and compact size ( 43 W x 45.5 L x 82 H) and low price the Body Champ PBC530 is an excellent option for people who don’t have a lot of space but still want to have all the basic functionality.

It’s common enough to find either wall-mounted or doorway pull-up bars in people’s homes. There’s a good reason for this – pull-ups are just about the best exercise going for building upper body strength and size, specifically through the latissimus dorsi, abdominals, posterior deltoids and biceps.
