Loving the light tan finish, used on feather board fencing, highlights the grain and knots beautifully. Any details you provide are kept securely and are not shared, sold or passed on to any third parties. Teak Decking Oil can be a little orange if used on new timber, in this case use the Clear or Medium Oak Decking Oil for full treatment and protection.

This is because the colouring intensity can vary depending on the age, roughness and moisture in your decking. It is perfect for reviving and restoring colour to old or new decking and is suitable for use on fences, garden sheds, gates and hot tubs etc. Allow to penetrate for 15 to 30 minutes then apply the second coat without waiting for the first to dry. Containing UV filters, it helps reduce discolouration and fading from the sun, whilst maintaining the finish. The colour has mellowed even more after a few weeks and is nicer than ever Have used several types before but this has brought our Idigbo hardwood decking back to brand new.Note: Cleaning will completely remove any protection of a previous preservative, oil, treatment, stain or paint. I'm not sure it really needed a 3rd coat, as this did not soak in very well, and sat a bit on the surface. I have used this make on my decking from day one and it has always kept my decking in very good condition,it is also very easy too apply. We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this.

Always test the product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result. Wipe any excess with a lint-free cotton cloth and allow to dry for 24 to 48 hours before using the decking. As an example, softwood decking that is old will likely require more oil than a relatively new hardwood decking that still retains a fair amount of natural oil. Decking treated with Liberon Decking Oil will require recoating at least once or preferably twice a year (spring and autumn) depending on the climate where the decking is laid and how much use it is subject to. It is essential that any oil that has not been absorbed into the timber is wiped off thoroughly with a clean lint-free cloth.Check the decking supplier / manufacturer's guidance on how long decking should be allowed to weather before applying a decking treatment. Continue to apply until the timber no longer absorbs the oil, older timbers may require more quotes depending on the condition. Liberon Decking Oil is ideal for feeding, protecting and enhancing the natural beauty of most types of timber decking. Please note: The type and age of timber can have a dramatic impact on how much decking oil the wood needs. After the summer (and my deck is south facing and takes a hammering from the Sun and heat), there is no fading, and no patches that show wear, so I am very happy so far.

A highly water-resistant, UV-enhanced formula, it is perfect for reviving and restoring colour to weathered and greying decking, and is also suitable for use on fences, garden sheds, gates and hot tubs. My choice as a decking oil, the clear version colours the wood to an attractive golden brown and is not slippery at all in the wet. years later it had almost all disappeared, so I cleaned the deck with Cuprinol deck cleaner, let it dry for a day (This was late spring/early summer), and then applied 3 coats of this decking oil. Experience the transformative power of Liberon Decking Oil, meticulously engineered to protect, feed, and amplify the innate charm of most timber decking types. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. Anyway, wanted a solvent based protection for the deck as it seeps into the softwood deck timber to give it better protection ( IMHO). Unfortunately due to rising costs of secure paint packaging together with surcharges for heavy items from our courier, we are having to apply a small surcharge to certain items. Our decking is now at least 12 years old, having initially tried two or three different brands of decking oil, without doubt, Liberon is the best by far for the job.
