The photographer can use the shallow depth of field at wide-open aperture to take stunning portraits and tabletop still life shots. It balances perfectly on my Sony a6000 and the massive focusing ring provides a really nice rubberized gripping point when out shooting. Who got the successful copy without any issues like - hunting, incorrect built-in lens profile showing on lightroom/ACR, F2 blured images on af-s mode. SIGMA's DC DN lenses are made exclusively for mirrorless, and are designed primarily for use with crop sensor cameras. It has a 52mm filter thread, and usefully, the lens employs internal focusing, so should you use an ND grad or polarising filter with it, you will not have to worry about the front turning or extending when focusing.

Overall, it feels supremely well matched to slim, compact mirrorless bodies from the Canon EOS M, Olympus Pen and OM-D, and Sony A6xxx series of camera systems. The only other point to note about the construction of the lens is the brass mount that has been coated for extra durability. Thankfully, all standard Sony lens compensations are available and can be enabled to apply working corrections to out-of-cameraJPEG images with the Sigma, and correction profiles are available in Adobe Camera Raw.Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) offers thermal expansion characteristics similar to those of aluminum. If you have a camera with built-in image stabilisation, you’ll obviously be able to take this into account. Combine that with being one of the brightest autofocus lenses available as well, and the result is an excellent lens for anyone interested, whether they're just getting started, or are a seasoned shooter. You’ll also be far more able to freeze action under dull lighting conditions, without the need to really push your camera’s ISO setting.

I had no problem with manually focusing this lens, and I was able to get very accurate focus when using the magnified view offered by the Sony cameras. is made in Japan and the build quality is excellent, especially considering it’s an ultra-budget APS-C lens. lens can be very unforgiving; with such a shallow depth of field, the slightest shift in focus can make a huge difference.AIS on it, it's not seen a lot of use since, and I only bring it out when I need the AF much more than the low light capability.
