Illustrated and interpreted by Siku, the person famous for illustrating the bloodbath of: Judge Dred.

Siku is one of many artists living in the West who has been open to the manga style in his work and he uses it in his own way. Compared to what I learned in class, even though many of the specific passages are missing, there are still many quotes of characters in the book that are in here and this is definitely a much more interesting book to read and so perhaps this can be a great supplementary piece of reading students can use to help with their learning and to understand the big picture.Though initially written in Japanese, the English edition was published first, premiering in the United Kingdom and the Philippines in 2006. I never did see the finished product, but I made a small gif file here to see what it could have looked like projected onto a wall. Another point of critique is that The Manga Bible is too wordy for a traditional manga; Siku sees the need for that in the fact that he condenses the Bible in a 200-page graphic novel. Even the content itself is more lighthearted, with some comedic elements and lots of depicted happy reunions between the Apostle Paul and his companions.

But watching a Japanese author slowly make sense out of a vast and confusing western religious text, developing his own reading and theology in the process, is fascinating. Check out such and such book with chapter and verse" I wouldn't use it for deep study but it is certainly will done and will lead people in the right direction.Siku is a rare find - an incredibly talented individual who works in a very demanding industry and still manages to have a fantastic sense of humour. I like how the story was laid out, especially having Genesis as a story being told by Moses to the children, that was a very creative idea.
